The facility is great and the hotel is beautiful and clean. My family enjoyed it greatly. The private onsen is definitely worth the visit. The longue was also a good amentity to have. First things first, the staff are just wonderful. The Onsen has an incredible view (be sure to stay two nights, as there are two Onsens. But only one with a view. Gender is swapped each day. The rooftop bar with foot baths is a lovely touch. The rooms are very comfortable and the location is perfect. Again the staff are incredible. We will never stay anywhere else in Kyoto. Can't wait to return!!

The staff were wonderful - we had to reorganize our check-in time several times, and they were really nice and helpful. They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.

The room was super spacious, with a separate tatami room. It even had a genkan. Breakfast was a feast, with a view. The bath, particularly on the 4th floor, had a great view of the sea from above. Plenty of parking available. The guy at the reception who checked us in was fun and friendly, and spoke good English.
