The rooms are beautiful, the view is amazing, the staff are absolutely lovely. The private hot springs are great. This place is very charming - even magical. Experiencing Biwako Hanakaido felt like experiencing proper Japanese traditions/customs. It felt like a privilege. It's a truly rare and amazing experience that isn't easy to come by. I highly recommend spending a night or a few here.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It is a wonderful and relaxing environment and allows you to enjoy the best onsen experience. The hotel staff organised the shuttle bus for us even though it passed 6pm to ensure we made it to our dinner reservation. The food provided was 10/10, possibly one of the best meals we had in Japan ! And I forgot an item when I left the hotel, the staff just mailed it to my next hotel within the next day. Will definitely come back!

We like the Onsen that allow you to book for a private Onsen either with friends or family or just yourself. The breakfast is good. The staffs are all very polite & helpful. They provide free drinks like juice, sparkling water, beer & sake in the mini fridge. The shower, bathtub and toilet are all separate. Everything provided are all with good quality.

Villa Metasequoia 愛犬と泊まれる宿, que tiene vistas a la montaña, ofrece alojamiento con zona de barbacoa y balcón a unos 36 km de Playa de Omimaiko. very nice and cosy place to stay - very light and summer feeling for the days!

El Dantokan Kikunoya cuenta con un baño termal y se encuentra a 5 minutos en coche de la estación JR Ogoto Onsen. Se ofrece servicio gratuito de recogida en la estación, bajo petición.

Ryokan Beniayu está en Nagahama, a 26 km de Castillo Hikone, y dispone de alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. El servicio era muy bueno, estaba de cumpleaños y me regalaron un set de sales de baño. Me conmovió mucho ese detalle. El onsen compartido tenia una linda vista y un sauna exquisito, así como buenos productos. La habitación era grande e incluía un sillón de masajes (además del onsen privado) Considero que es un buen hotel y tuvimos una buena experiencia, sin embargo por el rango de precios alojamos en hoteles con más comodidades y que ofrecían buffet de cena incluido.

Kyukamura Ohmi-Hachiman se encuentra en Omihachiman, a 41 km de Templo Sanzen-in y a 41 km de Templo Enryaku-ji. Ofrece alojamiento con restaurante y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis. The property is good for solo traveler, couple and family. Hot spring in East is clean and relax for body. You can choose to stay in the room for whole night with a pot of green tea, or enjoy good beef in dining area. The staffs are warm and good at dealing customers’ need.

KAMENOI HOTEL Hikone se encuentra en Hikone, a 2,7 km de Castillo Hikone y a 6 km de Estación de Maibara. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We had some delay in reaching the accommodations, but they allowed us to have our dinner right as we entered, before checking in. They also helped us to call a taxi to the train station on our last day. My mother left an item behind, and they kindly mailed it over to my address in Tokyo after we left! Compliments to the chef, the food every breakfast and dinner were so delicious, and my family and I got to try many local delicacies in the comfort of the hotel :) My parents also enjoyed their very first experience of onsen here!

Offering an outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and 6 restaurants and bars, Biwako Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from Keihan Hamaotsu Train Station. Amazing, so amazing! The hotel looks like a 5* hotel, and feels like one. The interior is so fancy, I should have booked it for longer duration, considering how easy it is to reach Kyoto from here. It is double the price of a hotel from Kyoto, but the facilities make up for it. I had the Superior Twin Room - Non-Smoking and the view was amazing and I was lucky enough to catch the fountain show at the docks, which can be viewed clearly from the balcony.
