It is right in the heart of old Astorga. We stayed one night and have no complaints. There was free, guarded parking near the hotel, but you have to climb some steps. So drop off your luggage at the hotel before you park the car. You can park on the plaza right in front of the hotel for 15 minutes. No problem at all. It was ideally situated in the centre, and pretty quiet too, also close to shops/restaurants etc. It was only a short walk to the Palacio Gaudí which was one of the reasons for our trip. It was a simple process to check in via the Eurostars a short walk down the road and the free parking at the hotel was a bonus. It is like stepping back in time into a previous era. The staff are friendly, there is secure parking and it is perfectly positioned for exploring Astorga, an easily walkable town, to view all the sights of which there are many.
