Super cozy and lovely place. Everything was exactly as described, and it was warm enough even in the extremely cold weather. The host was incredibly responsive and quick to assist whenever we needed help. Most importantly, the breakfast buffet was good(very filling and delicious). Additionally, there is a wide open plain right next to the house, making it an ideal spot to watch the northern lights at night. We saw the aurora for the first time here! 💫

The staff were friendly. The room were nice and adequate. The hotel itself is very nice. The breakfast was nice. Location was great, its on the ring road.

+Fantastic and amazing location surrounded by amazing landscapes 360 degrees. We could have a fantastic view of vesterhorn, heinaberg glacier from here + common toilet and bathroom were very clean and well maintained + Breakfast was excellent and the the breakfast eating area is with a fantastic view + paid dinner option was excellent . We get to taste the lamb meat from their own farm. It was fantastic. +Fantastic and lovely place to view the northern lights .

Great location - saw the northern lights and views are very pretty. Room was big and comfy. Heaters worked very well and kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean. All in all a perfect stay for us!

I only spent one night at Birkifell and in all honesty it was not enough. Birkifell is 100% pure charm and comfort. The cabin is small but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was pretty much perfect. Coffee machine with coffee, stovetop, oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and cookware. The beds are so comfortable and warm. I slept amazingly well. And now what is truly wow. Hot tub on the verandah with clear, unobstructed views of the sky which was crystal clear. The hot tub was hot, comfortable and clean. The only sound to be heard was me. I have never experienced such quiet and stillness before. It was invigorating. I was sad to have to leave Birkifell but when I come back to Iceland, Birkifell will be my must stay again. I love everything about Birkifell.
