Excellent place to stay while touring some of Shikoku's amazing remote places. Room was clean as were the shared bathrooms. Staff were wonderful. We had half board dinner and breakfast which were good.

The host was very friendly, kind and gave prompt replies. Location is quite close to Niyodo river and other nature activities. Rooms and facilities were clean and spacious.

Location is in the center of pretty much everything. It’s a short driving distance from Niyodo Blue, Nakatsu Gorge, Shikoku Karst, and Kochi city. It’s a perfect base if you want to explore the area around. The Ochi village itself is also very serene and beautiful. The house is impeccably clean, well-designed, spacious, cozy and very comfortable. You can see the river and submerged bridge from the house. The house is fully equipped with everything one would need during a trip and more. We’re especially impressed with the kitchen. It is a full function kitchen. You can cook some seriously nice food in it. We bought some good quality beef and cooked it in the kitchen and it was one of the nicest meals we had on this trip. We stayed here for 2 nights but we wish we had more time to spend here. Chris, the host is a very attentive and helpful host. He gave us a lot of useful advice for the trip. We had the best experience here and would love to come back soon.

Although it was a remote location and minimalistic stay, we really enjoyed the stay and would put it as one of our favourites in Japan. The privacy and Nature are unmatched, and the onsen/ gym facilities are an added bonus that most of the cheaper range hotels don’t have. 10/10 would recommend
