Brilliant location, unique and somewhat "old school" atmosphere in the building, staff was courteous and professional at all times. I was especially impressed with the careful attention to dietary requirements. One guest (me) was vegetarian, and although it is not easy to reconcile a vegetarian diet with traditional Japanese cuisine, in the morning I enjoyed a version of Japanese breakfast that was delicious, beautiful and simply amazing. This is not a cheap hotel but the stay is worth every yen. Highly recommended.

After three months of traveling in Japan, this was by far the most wonderful host I encountered. The code was provided to me before check-in, and the instructions were clear, ensuring a smooth arrival process. The house looked exactly as shown in the photos and described in the listing. While parking was indeed limited, there were plenty of coin parking options available in the area.

The property was exceptionally beautiful and clean! Kitchen was really well equipped and they use really branded appliances and provisions, It was also really calming to be able to hear the sound of the waves from the beach!

Just a few minutes walk from Kagoshima Chuo station, this brand new hotel is lovely. All the staff and especially the owner/manager were friendly and helpful. The amenities are good, there’s a coffee machine at the reception, an easy and relaxed feel. There are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, a convenience store and supermarket close by. The Myouban Onsen is about ten minutes walk away. Near the station there are several shopping centres and an Aeon department store. We initially booked for two nights but decided to extend our stay another two nights. Kagoshima is excellent for food, hope we can come again
