Lovely place, ideal with family and kids. Rooms were cleaned, they always asked if we wanted our nets mosquito sprayed. Staff (especially Joffrey and Jeff) were especially very kind and helpful. Also we really appreciated that the owner, Stacey has managed to arrange a last minute transfers from Mombasa Airport and late dinner, when our pre-arranged transfer declined after a flight delay. We arrived super tired and hungry, so that dinner saved lives. :) The general breakfast was nice, portions were enough. The view and closeness of the beach and sea is amazing, we would return to this place at any give moment! High recommended! Thank you!

This is paradise!!! So so beautiful and in a great location. It can accommodate different groups of people; families, groups of friends, honeymoon couples etc. The rooms are clean, big and modern with smart Tvs. There are two well thought out and good sized pools. One in a place with a shade (and a slide) and the other one in the open overlooking the beach. The beach is private and clean. They have two rooftop areas where one can catch the most breathtaking sunset. The food was well prepared and inclusive. The hospitality was excellent. The staff were the cherry on top. The resort is run by Mr Kinoti, a true gentleman, who was constantly on his feet to ensure everything was running seemlessly. The restaurant staff: Juma, Albert, Bakari.... just to mention a few, were so kind and attentive. They went the extra mile to meet our needs always. We couldn't thank them all enough for giving us an unforgettable experience. Ps: The coffee is outstanding!

Tle location along the coast, far from city centers, but not too far from Diani and Shimon for outdoor activities : beach, swimming in the ocean, diving on coral reef, boat-safari in mangrove, good restaurant for lunch... A beautifully crafted and decorated hotel - on an island in the Indian Ocean (17km south of Diani) - sister hotel Nomad where we previously stayed and we would say it was a more peaceful experience. The room was beautiful and spacious. Excellent variety of food and different restaurants. There’s a lovely gift shop and so many activities - kayaking, mangrove walks, yoga, diving etc or you can just relax on the beach or by one of the three pools. Sunsets on the deck are incredible. Good transfers to and from Diani - depending on the tide you will go across by small boat or tractor! Which was so fun!

It was really a very special and unique experience to stay at Blue Monkey. Everything is simple but well thought through, so I wasn't missing anything. The solar panel allowed to keep the phone charged even though the place is not grid connected, showering with the bucket is no problem. Ismail is the most friendly and helpful host you could imagine. He showed me the village, helped organize a snorkel tour and had a lot to tell about the history of the place and the village. Wasini island is stunning with coral reefs, mangrove forests, dolphins swimming nearby. Overall, highly recommended!

Lovely views from the restaurant area over the water. This place is connected to a little centre doing research into protecting and restoring the coral reef. We met the post graduate students from around the world there, heading off to dive and gather data. Amazing place and people and lovely staff Lovely 20m pool. We are budget travellers so stayed in the fixed tents. Good to have a fan in there. Toilets and showers are simple and fine. Buy a little food at the local village or pay for meals in the eco retreat. But the beer is cold. We organised a snorkeling trip through the manager to the marine reserve. Stunningly beautiful.
