The location to the beach frontage road is very nice. Just walk across the street and you can enjoy the beach and the beautiful sunrise every morning. Quiet with easy access to local breakfast and hotel bars. Highly recommend for the price and amenities.

This place was amazing, we loved it! Lake View, just up the road from everything we need, nice hosts, clean, smelt nice, facilities we could use if we wanted or needed...it was such a little gem I'd go back 100%. The area is also amazing and maybe one of the nest places we have stayed since travelling new zealand.

This chalet was the absolute highlight of our holiday in New Zealand so far. It is a well equipped, modern, luxurious, super clean and spacious chalet type accommodation. It has absolutely everything you can think of - and the absolute highlight are of course the animals! What a joy to have then right next to you and being able to feed them by yourself! Also super lovely to have complimentary drinks and breakfast ready in the fridge. The hosts are very kind. If we ever come back to NZ then we would definitely come back here! Top recommendation!

During our 2 week trip to NZ, Glenburg was the standout stay for us. Just incredible. The lodge provides a view from the bedroom on the ocean and from the spacious living room (with fire place!) u get a fantastic view of Manakau mountains. Our reason to travel to Kaikoura was obviously whale watching, so if you are interested in doing that but also want to experience comfort, piece and quiet then Glenburn Coastal Retreat will deliver. Amazing.

    Such a wonderful place to stay. It was very easy to find and the view was beautiful. Free parking was a lovely bonus. The bed was extremely comfy and the room felt like a little haven. Couldn't recommend more, and was a wonderful place to stay for a few days on our honeymoon.

    Location good and fairly close to town centre. Free parking. Friendly welcoming staff. Beach and park are just across the road. Great views of the Seaward Kaikoura mountains. I would happily stay again. I stayed next to a unit that was wheelchair friendly. So good location for those with mobility issues. A mobility parking spot is also available too.The photo is at sunrise from my unit looking across to the beach and the pines. A scenic photographer's delight.

    The unit was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly. The property is probably a couple of km from the centre of town. However, there is plenty of free parking very close to town, so no problem. We have stayed in other places in Kaikoura over the years and this place was easily the best. It is exceptional value for money. We will definitely stay here in the future.

    Lovely, friendly check in. Car parking right near the room. The studio was very clean and fresh and looked as if it had been recently updated. The kitchenette was well equipped and the bed comfy. The unit was at the back and had a great view of the mountains from the balcony. It was very quiet and perfect for an overnight stay.
