I love this style of house, and did not expect how great this was. I am thinking about renting again next time I want to ride the Alps passes. Very close to the beginning of Susten pass.

Set in Andermatt in the Uri region, 150 metres from Andermatt ski lift, The Base Andermatt offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Perfect room with nice view where mountains are visible. Easy access and great location 👌. Big space in the room. Plenty of towels and two smart TVs for the kids. Limited free parking at the stay (whoever is first). Nice reception lady. I would like to thank the reception lady. She was super helpful. Their last check in time is around 6pm but she accommodated us at 9:30pm. Big thanks to her. She was in contact with me directly to show the way. Lots of facilities nearby the stay like coop and other shops. Train station is nearby as well. Clean kitchen and room. Window shades for cool night if required. Balcony sitting. Plenty of power sockets around. Baby cot available.

Clean, comfortable and warm, even though it was less than 5 degrees Celsius outside (mix of wooden stove and electric heater). The view was breathtaking and the only sounds are the nearby river, the birds and the bells from sheep. The hosts were simply amazing and Ploy's Thai food is a must-get. Extra surprise: their playful dog, Luna :) Thank you so much Franz and Ploy for your hospitality! We will definitely come back again!

From the moment you step into the cable car up the moment, you’re literally being transported to a more serene, more peaceful and beautiful version of the world. The views are simply stunning, the staff and owners incredibly friendly. I also highly recommend Andy’s Brew, the owners very own beer. It’s delicious:) Wish I’d stayed a few more days to explore the beautiful surroundings.

From oils and herbs for meals; teas and filled coffee machine: dishwasher tablets, hair-dryers and charger cables and adaptors. She had thought of everything! After coming from camping near Venice, this was a 5 Star hotel!!! Worth every Frank. We have a VW Caddimaxi and made it up the steep drive....not a problem! We are travelling with family visiting from Australia. After arriving at this amazing location and house, we just had to finish the experience with a Swiss Cheese Fondue, which complimented the delicious red wine and chocolates that we were gifted on arrival.

Only a couple of hours from Italy and just over an hour to Luzern or Zurich. The house was lovely, clean and very friendly hosts. It was warm enough for us. The apartment looks like new and plenty of room for the 5 of us. Theres a little football pitch and park near the place too. The property has a garden we were allowed to use which had swings, slide etc, our 8 year old loved being able to just go off an play in the garden. Also theres a lovely walk right out of the property along the river with waterfalls coming out of the mountains. It makes the Lake District (where we live) look like molehills!
