If you want to stay in the heart of the Elqui Valley and be nearly as remote as one can be while still having incredible WiFi - this is the spot! We spent one night here but should have booked more. The only tricky piece about this spot is getting here off the main road. While it isn’t a far distance you really should have 4WD. The road is tight and severe switchbacks. You also need to bring in food with you especially if you don’t have a car. Each unit is exquisitely designed to allow you to cook dinners indoors or out with a regular sized fridge and freezer to boot. To say this place is magical might be a vast understatement. We spent the late afternoon hiking up to the scenic lookout (although each unit has its own incredible views and privacy for late nights in the hot tub). We spent the next 2 hours by the pool which given how hot it is actually had cool water for swimming and lovely shaded lounge chairs. We brought in drinks and a pizza with us for our evening and it was perfect. We turned off all the lights and just sat outside watching the moon rise over the mountains as the sunset. After we spent hours soaking in the hotel tub watching more stars appear in the sky. Just magical! The interior is well appointed too with great bedding, linens, towels and vegan shower products that smelled and felt like luxury after having traveled for so long. For breakfast the following morning, we were brought a delicious selection of fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, croissants, cheese and more! Each unit it also outfitted with a tea pot, tea, a moka coffee maker and ground coffee! If we ever have the chance to come back to the Elqui Valley we will 1000% book this spot again! Also - be sure when in the area to book the 3 hours tour and wine tasting at vinedos de alcohauz! The guide essentially gave us the entire history of the area from different stops along the tour that changes in elevation 5 times! The vineyard is magnificent.

Me encanto, l.acomodidad del departamento, la ubicación y la limpieza todo excelente. Sobre todo que me hayan recibido bien con mi perritas eso fue maravilloso, Lo super recomiendo.

Cabañas y Loft Parronal está en Vicuña y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año, jardín y terraza. Carolina y Gonzalo son excelentes anfitriones, nos dieron excelentes tips para pasar nuestros días en el valle del Elqui, sin duda volveremos. El lugar estuvo increíble, lo mejor de todo fue la piscina para pasar el calor del verano. Si se quedan con Carolina y Gustavo pregúntenle por sus recomendaciones, no se arrepentirán.

Hostal Paso por La Serena, que se encuentra a 5 min a pie de Museo Arqueológico de La Serena y a 1,6 km de Estadio La Portada, ofrece habitaciones en La Serena. Everything superb. Comfortable bed, fridge, fan and microwave in room. Full kitchen, access to laundry, near shops and restaurants. Secure locked parking about 70m in another hostel for 4.000 cpl per night. Friendly, very helpful hosts. Carol speaks very good English. Extremely clean throughout.

Calor De Hogar La Serena está en La Serena y cuenta con vistas a la ciudad, jardín y terraza. Es la segunda vez que me alojo en Calor de Hogar, muy buena estancia, cama cómoda, el desayuno muy bueno., la habitación tenía llave de seguridad. Se me facilito una llave de la casa y pude entrar y salir con libertad. El baño completísimo, con artículos de higiene. Acceso a un patio interno equipado. Volveré con seguridad.

Campo de Cielo Mamalluca Valle de Elqui está en Vicuña y ofrece vistas a la ciudad, piscina de temporada al aire libre, jardín, terraza y zona de barbacoa. Such a great and peaceful place. The best option to experience fully this valley, it's stars and powerful energy. Massimiliano was a great host, welcomed us and joined us for some great time around the fire for an asado!

Cabañas "Terrazas de Orión" con Vista Panorámica en Pisco Elqui está en Pisco Elqui y cuenta con vistas a la piscina, piscina al aire libre, jardín y zona de barbacoa. A truly stunning cabana in an outstandingly beautiful area. The cabana is literally built into the side of the valley and the views from the terrace are incredible. The cabana itself is very clean, comfortable and well equipped with an excellent hot water supply. The little pool was a very welcome addition after the heat of the day and before admiring the millions of stars in the night sky. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk into Pisco Elqui town. A word too about the host - he is incredibly kind and helpful and his daughter even made us some delicious alfajores. If you are heading to this area then this cabana is very highly recommended.
