Sonesta Hotel is located in Patagonia, 932 km south of Santiago. Parking is available and a shuttle service from the airport is offered for an extra fee. Due to airline flight reschedule, we arrived later than expected -- this was not an issue, as my reservation was still in place. Our room was very large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding, with so many choices of what to eat as well as healthy eating choices. And when I asked for "cream" for my tea, I was given the real thing, not whole milk or half-and-half -- and they remembered this every subsequent morning!!! Such a wonderful consideration! The Manager came to our (Raquel) table, introduced herself and was always present as we were coming and going for our visits with our friends. The cleaning staff was a great help, especially with the repositioning of the shower head and how to reset the thermostat. This was also followed up almost immediately from what we assumed to be the floor manager to be certain that we were comfortable. My friend and I are "mobility impaired" and it was a very, very pleasant surprise to have such close personal attention paid to our needs., even at checkout. We have never had such positive personal attention paid to us at any hotel we have stayed in the past 15+ years. And the price quoted was the actual cost for our stay -- AMAZING! The island is beautiful, but what really made me stay longer were the amazing hosts. Every day, they helped me plan a new tour so I could see a different part of the island. They were so kind and made sure all my wishes were taken care of—even helping me see a pudu! Thank you so much for everything!
