The location was excellent. The hosteria is on a hillside, offering a beautiful mountain view across the town and the valley. At the same time the location is also central, only 10 minutes by foot from the main square and 12 minutes from the bus station (Terminal Terrestre). Our room was clean and comfortable, with two queen beds with four(!) soft pillows. The bathroom had hot water for showering. Normally the room is cleaned every day (they ask if you wish that they do). The breakfast was very good. It consisted of eggs, bread rolls, butter and marmalade with juice and coffee - which is what you normally get for breakfast in Ecuador. But the juice was different every day, the croissants were served warm (not every day, though) and the eggs were prepared in a different way. This is actually a big deal if you've been traveling for a long time. We had established a contact with the hosteria in WhatsApp before arrival and received all possible information regarding our stay in advance. Someone was around and available 24/7, opening the gate and supporting the clients with information about activities etc. We had our laundry done for a very small amount of money that was less than in public laundries. We did not speak Spanish, so were happy to find that the staff spoke varying levels of English. You get a great value for the money you pay.

First of all we were able to checkin earlier without any problem because of our night bus. The room is huge and very clean and they provide water, coffee and tea. The location is perfect in the city center and the price for what you get is amazing, that’s why we extended our stay over and over again.

Mama Tungu hostel está en Baños y ofrece alojamiento de 3 estrellas con jardín, restaurante y bar. El hotel dispone de piscina cubierta, sauna, ocio nocturno y salón de uso común. Breakfast offered an extensive choice, was delicious, and was offered for an extended period for those who needed an early start--to those who wanted to sleep in! The staff, (mostly Argentinian) were exceptional. Their weren't many people staying at the Lodge, but they still went out of their way to light us a bonfire, and were helpful getting us bicycles for the Ruta de Las Cascadas, and to help us with many other questions. Great crew!

The Inti Luna is beautiful and the rooms comfortable. The location is quiet and safe with a great view on the peak of the vulcano. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We will definetly return.

En 10 años que llevo de permanente viajes creo que este hostal es el mejor. Está super bien ubicado, a metros de la terminal de omnibus. Es super limpio y cómodo. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y las camas bien grandes y cómodas. La cocina está muy bien equipada y te ofrecen café y té gratis. El wifi es rápido y estable. Las personas que trabajan ahí son muy amables, siempre dispuestas a ayudarte, en particular Carlos y la señora que limpia a la mañana, Mireya. Me sentí como en casa desde el momento en que hice checkin.
