The owners are wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. They arranged a snorkeling trip and a wonderful hike to a beautiful waterfall. The food was good at the restaurant, especially the breakfast. There are two small grocery stores just a short walk away, so you really don't need a car while staying there. Just arrange for transportation from the airport. Also, the internet is amazingly fast here. They use Starlink so you won't have any problems with internet.

Vinna and Robert were wonderful hosts, warm hospitality, so helpful. Vinna has an organic fruit and veg stall at front of property, and makes fabulous smoothies, and offers delicious home cooked Fijian dishes. Robert gave us a lifts around, and took us to the waterfalls (wonderful) and he offers boat trips too.

We loved our stay with Sarah and Sam, their home cooking was the best food we had in Fiji - it was a feast every night. This is not a luxury resort by any means and nor should it be, but it was perfectly clean and very comfortable and has a beautiful snorkelling spot nearby. Sam also took us to do the amazing Lavena coastal walk. Taveuni is a beautiful island and we had a wonderful stay at Aeroview.

Breakfast was exceptional every day something new every morning and even dinner. Location was very close to the airport and hosts were very friendly helpful and we were treated like families. Vina'a Master Sam Sera and family not forgetting our driver Naita Dreu.

Walking in to Lomani was truly a "WOW" moment and you instantly fall in love. Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.

Each cottage has a private sun terrace and the resort offers massages in a private beach bure. Each cottage is fitted with a private bathroom and some feature outdoor showers. Oceanfront location with proximity to other services if needed (grocery store, airport, other resort restaurants). Small number of guest cottages/guests on site. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We appreciated all of the information provided before we arrived to insure a comfortable and pleasant experience. Excellent snorkeling within a short boat ride from the property.

The luxurious Taveuni Island Resort & Spa is set on 10 acres of tropical gardens, a 2-minute drive from Matei Airport on Taveuni Island. It features free airport transfers, private beach access and a restaurant with ocean views. The property enjoys a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by dense rainforests, waterfalls and streams. Stayed at four different resorts across Fiji as part of our honeymoon and this was probably our favourite. Small enough to really care, it's a beautiful, private resort with very friendly, approachable staff embedded in the local community. There's loads to do, decent food (catering fairly well for vegetarians), and all for a reasonable price.
