Just a short walk from La Cotinière village, guests of the Hotel Île De Lumière can visit the fishing port. Free private parking is also available at the hotel. The location is picture perfect, literally. It is on the western coast of the island, so if there is a sunset, you would see it. On our days, it was rainy, but that simply brought a different kind of beauty. The beaches were mostly empty - we had them to ourselves. There are several ways to get to the beach below, and all are an easy, short walk. Yet, the hotel is elevated, so you have a lovely view of the coastline. The room was light and airy, and very clean. There is plenty of storage space, and a nice shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, and there were room darkening curtains. The hotel was full when we were there, but it was still quiet. Breakfast is not included, but we found it to be worth the price. There was a lot of variety in the pastries offered, along with cheese, meat, boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. We would recommend this place, and would stay again.

Nestled in the heart of La Rochelle and set in an 18th-century building, Maison des Ambassadeurs is just a 5-minute walk from the Old Harbour and offers a 24-hour front desk as well as a concierge service. Raphael greeted us by attending to our car. He later gave us many tips and places to see and to eat. He was so very nice. Tiffany treated us to an upgrade which was so very kind of her. We were greeted with her friendly smile and warm welcoming followed with a glass of champagne. Such a pleasant entrance to our stay! The room was absolutely gorgeous. An entire area dedicated to coffee, hot chocolate, and a fridge with drinks, etc. The main room had a table, sofa, chairs, end table - all was comfortable and spacious. The bedroom was large! A king bed (super comfortable), end tables, a huge closet with robes and slippers. The bathroom off the room was also large! Nice lighting, mirrors, sink and wonderful shower.

We only stayed one night but I could imagine a whole summer in these settings.

Situated 200 metres from Grande Conche Beach, Résidence Odalys L'Orée du Parc offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and an indoor pool. It is set 40 km from Saintes Train Station and features a lift. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We loved the lovely, spacious apartment. Everything we needed was available to cook meals.

The house is a unique experience....the decoration is sublime with knick knacks and amazing paintings,,the room super comfy , the bed one of the best we ve slept in and the breakfast was lovely in a beautiful setting.And they have a exquisite garden with the most beautiful roses..The hosts were super friendly and helpful.It was overall a magical experience.
