Everything was spotless, and the A/C kept the air fresh and comfortable throughout our stay. The location is, of course, unbeatable, sitting on the top floor of St James Quarter. Parking was an absolute breeze—you simply park in the main shopping mall’s underground garage, where there are plenty of spaces. It cost only £26 for two nights after getting the ticket validated at reception. If I’m not mistaken, £26 is the maximum charge, meaning even for a week-long stay, you’d only pay that amount as long as you don’t take the car out.

The breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of variety—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. It was the kind of meal you look forward to every morning. Everything we needed was included, and the staff made the whole experience feel effortless. The location was also spot-on—central, convenient, and surrounded by the character and charm of Edinburgh. This wasn’t just a place to stay—it was an experience we’ll remember. I’d go back in a second.

El Malt House Apartments se encuentra en pleno centro de Edimburgo, a solo 2 minutos a pie del extremo oeste de la calle Princes Street. Es un apart, maravilloso. Amplio, impecable (debo destacar la limpieza del lugar), si bien no cocinamos, sí dispone de todos los elementos para poder hacerlo. Tiene lavadora y secadora de ropa. Está muy bien ubicado.

Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk. My son Max and I had a magical stay at The Balmoral. The staff were just wonderful. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay extra special for Max (age 9). Our trip to Edinburgh was a special treat because he's a huge Harry Potter fan. He absolutely loved Edinburgh and all it's Potter lore but the stay in the Balmoral was by far the highlight of his trip because of how kind everyone was to us (as well as it being a beautiful luxurious hotel of course).

He is a great person and his attention and service put my Edinburgh experience over the top. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly memorable and enjoyable experience.
