My accommodation was perfect. It's very well located, just a 5-minute walk from Calle de los Sombreros, the main commercial area and the most touristy street in San Juan de La Laguna. The property is sustainably made, equipped with solar panels, and the bathroom facilities are brand new. You won't find luxury and refinement here, but everything is extremely well-kept and clean. The luxury lies in the view of the Indian Nose mountains and the fact that it's right on the edge of Atitlan, away from the noise and crowds. The staff is incredible. I loved meeting the owner Carlos, and the employees Gerson and Nila are extremely kind, polite, and always available to assist with anything you need. San Juan is a very charming village. You can stay at Mundo Abu and explore other villages, as the property is a 5-minute walk from the main pier, where you can catch a boat to visit San Pedro, and even Panajachel, which is very close, it's not even a 30-minute boat ride away. In San Juan, I did the Indian Nose trail, which is definitely worth it. The staff helped me a lot with everything I needed, including scheduling tours. I found exactly what I wanted at Mundo Abu: comfort, privacy, and contact with nature. Waking up every day to the view of Lake Atitlan is a beautiful sight and a huge privilege to be surrounded by nature but with all the comfort and amenities.

Amazing hosts, very nice people! We could do early checkin without problems. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious, we had amazing view over the volcanos. The shared rooftop also had wonderful view over the surroundings. The shared kitchen had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty, and on the top of that it was not the same every single day!

Lleven su comida para sacar el mejor provecho del lugar, porque al estar en la habitación dan ganas de descansar y desconectarse del mundo. 10 de 10!
