Lovely, spacious bungalows with comfortable bed, small deck with hammock and seats plus own ladder into the water. The food was excellent and plentiful. The managers, Mima and Ringo, are very friendly and helpful. The house reef is a short swim away and offers good snorkelling. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Note: end of November and we had no mosquitos, which was great!

But we were very positively surprised by the comforts. Great snorkeling reef, lots of trip options. 2 rooms with AC available for a surcharge.

Raja Ampat Sandy Guesthouse bevindt zich in Saonek, op 15 minuten lopen van Pantai WTC (Waisai Torang Cinta), en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The homestay owner contactes us prior to our arrival to check if we were finding our way (they also offered a taxi pick-up at the harbour) and welcomed us with open arms. The homestay has a nice small garden where we had breakfast. The owners also helped us to arrange our taxi next morning

Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! The property is clean, the rooms are good, what you would expect from a good hotel. However, the main thing here that is different from other hotels is the customer care , mainly by the wonderful Siska. She was really kind and did her best to assist in anything the guests need.
