I cannot describe how amazing the room with private onsen is. Super spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view to the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (buffet style), enough vegetarian options. There's a free drink bar available for the afternoon/evening hours as well. I didn't use the public bath because they don't allow visible tattoo's though.

It felt more like an air BnB than a hotel. The surrounding area was quiet and cozy. It feels like home away from home.

Very attentive and warned us beforehand of bad weather via message and offered a ride if need be as we were travelling by foot and trains only.

He is able to speak English as well.

The countryside location is beautiful, and the traditional-style rooms are spacious and comfortable. Makoto-san is a gracious host and an excellent cook. The dinner and breakfast were marvelous, with an assortment of local specialties and treats. I will be thinking about the delicious sweet potato cake served with breakfast for quite awhile!

Kashintei Shirahama está en Senboku, a 15 km de Termas de Nyuto y a 49 km de Estación de Morioka. Absolutely fantastic stay! I spent 2 nights and everything was great. The room was very comfy and the onsen was outstanding. The dining experience was one of the best I've had during my trip. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious with a wide variety of great dishes. Special thanks to the staff, especially the person who served me during meals for their dedication and patience in explaining everything to me. Next time I visit I promise to improve my Japanese!
