But the real highlight is the villa itself. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the beautifully curated Japanese-style interiors to the artisanal artwork in every corner, every detail felt carefully chosen and deeply rooted in local culture. Even the toilet was a highlight—one of the latest high-tech models, adding a fun modern touch to the traditional setting. We were warmly welcomed with generous gifts, including a bottle of fresh mikan juice and delicious local snacks. The lady who handled our check-in was incredibly kind and made us feel at home right away. I genuinely loved every bit of this stay. Entei is not just accommodation—it’s an experience. A dream, really. I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know.

The sweetest couple running a jam and drink shop, which you’ll stay next door to. Close to a Lawson (3 min walk). The folks running the place clearly care about their guests and are very caring and kind. They provide tons of information about Hakata Island, and have curated a restaurant and map of where you can go for food since there isn’t too much on the island. We felt so cared for and looked after when we arrived after cycling for 4 hours in the pouring rain. Thank you so much for your kindness and we would happily return just to say hi and have more jams!
