Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. The breakfast and dinner were great. The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful. The no-booking system for the private onsens was easy to use. The location was also very convenient - close to Sainokawara Park and the shops.

The kitchen is big and convenient. The shared bathroom is very clean. The washing machine is also very useful. The hotel has very relaxed and youthful vibe. The onsen in the hotel is very good.

The property is modern, contemporary and clean. With a wonderfully calm atmosphere and great views of the near by hills and river. Each room has its own onsen on the balcony. The staff are friendly and so helpful. They even called ahead for us to see if some things we wanted to do were open. We can’t wait to come back!

Okiya Guest House & Tapas Bar ligt in Kiryu, op 35 km van Kumagaya Rugby Stadium, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een restaurant. Fantastisch hotel met perfecte locatie tegenover station en achter de Lawson. Super vriendelijk personeel en mooie kamer. Gedeelde onsen.

Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 is gelegen in Takasaki, op 28 km van Spoorwegmuseum Usui-tōge Tetsudō Bunkamura, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Tendon-san and his team were wonderful. So warm, friendly and fun. Our kids felt very welcome here and loved the whole experience. The cooking was amazing! So delicious. We could have stayed longer just to eat. Everything tasted incredible, especially the sukiyaki which was so soft and melted in your mouth. We all also loved the beautiful spacious room and outdoor bath. The rooms truly look like all the photos, if not better. And then there’s the temple. What a special place. No photo could really capture how Ryutakuzenji feels. You might just have to visit :)

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) bevindt zich in Kusatsu, op 45 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park en 14 km van Mt. Amazing experience (I stayed 3 nights). - amazing staff (in particular the lady in charge who speaks English and is very helpful (how to wear a yukata, how to bath in onsen, explaining local delicacy) - location: walking distance from everything but also a more charming place than traditional downtown kusatsu hotel (especially next to the park) - food ! Please book breakfast and at least try dinner once (very generous 12+ courses even if more pricey than regular plate but quality and quantity were insane) - large rooms with futon and beautiful view (only 10 rooms in this hotel), Onsen quiet and always on - yukata + kimono

Chigira Jinsentei bevindt zich in Shibukawa, op 46 km van Spoorwegmuseum Usui-tōge Tetsudō Bunkamura, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een bar. This Ryokan is phenomenal. - Breakfast and dinner, exceptional. Probably the greatest thing we like about the Ryokan. - The room, it was amazing, clean and tidy - We only used the private onsen (which is first come first serve basis, no booking required), temperature is just right with great view once you opened the window.

Minakamisansou is gelegen in Minakami, op 36 km van Skiresort Gala Yuzawa, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. It is the perfect place if you want to get a relaxing trip with a traditional Japanese onsen. The location is quiet and with perfect picturesque views of the mountains from the onsen. The staff are really nice and accommodating, even though we don't speak japanese. The food is amazing and at the same level of a fine dining restaurant every breakfast and dinner. Special thanks to Chinoki who served us everyday in English and helped us enjoy our meals everyday.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Everything was great, amazing staff, delicious welcome snack and breakfast, location, room, on-site hot tub. I'll be back! :)
