Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). We spent two nights on the island, and it was absolutely amazing! In the evenings, after all the tourists have left, you can take a peaceful walk near the water and feel like you have the entire island to yourself. The guest house we stayed at was fantastic! Traveling with our 5-month-old, we felt incredibly welcomed. Our room was huge, especially compared to other accommodations in Japan, and the common area downstairs was spacious and inviting. They offered a mini buffet for both breakfast and dinner, which was just perfect for us. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. The guest house is conveniently located halfway between the ferry terminal and the gondola. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely walk through the park to the gondola and managed to beat the crowds. Highly recommend! They also has two onsen options which you essentially book just for your family.

Het Miyajima Seaside Hotel ligt op slechts 5 minuten rijden met de gratis pendeldienst van de veerhaven van Miyajima. De accommodatie biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan. The hotel was very nice, it was a lovely experience staying in a ryokan with an onsen and having dinner served in our room. Everyone was very welcoming. The location is quite nice with the view to the sea. It was calm and lovely.

A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto boasts an outdoor hot spring bath. It offers luxurious Japanese-style and Western rooms and a free shuttle from Miyajima Pier. Great location, close to Miyajima toori and omotesando shopping street. One of the hiking routes that leads up to mt Misen was also not far (as well as the way to the ropeway). The hotel had a shuttle bus to and from the ferry terminal with a friendly driver - this was very valuable for us, as we did not have to carry our luggages through the crowded streets. The dinner was great with lots of local specialities that we could try out.

Kinsuikan ligt in Miyajima, op 2,6 km van Tsutsumigaura Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een restaurant. We had an amazing experience here. We felt so pampered and welcomed. Dinner was great, everyone was so nice and help whenever was needed. Highly recommended.

Hotel Miyajima Villa ligt in Miyajima, op 2,3 km van Tsutsumigaura Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een restaurant en een bar. Very spacious room and comfortable bed. Lots of freebies in the room including tea and coffee. Olsen had a great view across the bay. Lounge with complimentary cold and hot drinks and ice cream. Location is fight next to the ferry and the town. Perfect hotel.

Mizuhasou ligt voor het Miyajima Aquarium en op 5 minuten lopen van de uitgang van het Itsukushima-heiligdom. Het biedt accommodatie met een moderne maar traditionele inrichting. Beautiful ryokan-style guesthouse, 15 mins walk from the ferry terminal so slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area near the terminal. Incredible traditional Japanese breakfast and lovely shared bathroom with huge bath tub! Very close to beautiful white-sand beach!

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Fantastische onsen, heerlijk avondmaal en ontbijt, elke keer anders, gratis shuttle, ligging. Wij hadden 2 verschillende kamers omdat er geen 2 nachten in dezelfde kamer vrij waren en van de verhuis hoefden we ons niks aan te trekken. Dat werd allemaal perfect voor ons geregeld.

Yamaichi Bekkan bevindt zich op 8 minuten lopen van The great Torii en 1,1 km van Momijidani Park, en biedt kamers in Miyajima. Everything was exceptional, but the owner's kindness took a special spot. There's not a single thing I would change. I just wish I could repay them for the wonderful night we spent in Miyajima.

Ryoso Kawaguchi ligt in Miyajima, op 2,7 km van Tsutsumigaura Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. It seems like the Ryokan is run by a Japanese couple. The lady can speak perfect English and she was absolutely lovely. She recommended many places to visit, pointed out where to eat, and warned about opening and closing times of restaurants. She also explained how the in-house onsen works, and I was glad I had a place to relax after a long rainy day

Bettei Fujiya is gelegen in Miyajima, op 26 km van Vredespark van Hiroshima, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.
