Our stay was exceptional. The property is very well maintained and in a lovely garden setting. We were the only guests as it was the off season but the service was still top notch. One of our group was ill for the stay and the staff were very kind and caring, and provided cold compresses, a tonic and dinner to the room for her. The dinner they provided for the group was ample and incredibly tasty. During that we enjoyed hearing about the property, the area and their experiences. This stay felt like a real home away from home thank you!

Lake Front Yala Safari ligt in Kataragama, op 18 km van Tissa Wewa, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

Wadula Safari - Yala is gelegen in Kataragama in de regio Monaragala District, dicht bij Kataragama-tempel. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Prachtig hotel midden in het bos. Jij wordt opgehaald door de eigenaar omdat de weg zeeeeerr bumpy is. Elke kamer is in een eigen klein huisje, er waren er een stuk of 5. De eigenaar heeft ons een korte rondleiding gegeven over het terrein met waanzinnig uitblik over de plassen. Het eten was zeer lekker en alles is goed georganiseerd.

Tranquil Wild ligt in Tanamalwila met uitzicht op het zwembad en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, snackbar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. Tranquil wild lived up to its name. It is right next to a lake with water buffalo in it. There are heaps of birds including peacocks and hornbills in the garden plus lots of monkeys, squirrels and lizards around. The garden is huge with mature trees and plenty of space. You can walk beside the lake and do a little exploring, really nice at sun rise or sunset. The swimming pool was excellent for a bit of relaxing. Anne and Amal were fantastic hosts answering all our questions and organizing our safari and other activities. I recommend having Amal on your safari. He is full of info and has a big camera lens to get those close ups the cellphones can't do. Their safaris go into block 5 and 6 which are a lot quieter ( in terms of jeep numbers) than the main Yala block 1. We saw elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, lots of birds, and 2 leopards. Also if you have the chance to have dinner and bonfire down by the lake shore then do it, we got lucky with a stunning night and full moon rising. The food, including breakfast was really good. If you are looking for somewhere to relax with nature then this is it.

The room was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful, extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely return.

But what truly made our stay special was the staff's warm hospitality. They made us feel like family, not just guests. And the location? Perfect! Close to Yala National Park, they even helped us arrange an unforgettable safari experience. We also loved lounging by the swimming pool, a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The gym facilities were a great bonus too! We felt so relaxed and rejuvenated during our stay. If you're looking for a home away from home in Katharagama, Kynrock Hotels & Resorts is the place to be. We can't wait to come back!

Achteraf hadden we hier graag een extra nachtje willen blijven om lekker te relaxen bij het zwembad na een stoffige safari in het nabijgelegen Yala national park.

This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊
