The rooms are clean, and there’s a small but well-equipped gym with a treadmill, bike, elliptical, and some dumbbells. Breakfast is nice, though I wish they had ketchup! Secure parking is available. The security guard was especially helpful, friendly, and spoke English. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk didn’t speak English, but she was still very kind and welcoming. Overall, a great stay.

The hotel also features transportation services to destinations in the Chiapas. Great location, yet very quiet with a beautiful serene inner patio. The bed was huge, cleanliness to the highest standards. I loved the water dispenser, I didn’t have to go buy water as you can’t drink the tap water in San Cris.

When we had to rise early for a tour, he rose early to have breakfast ready for us. The place is very close to a park (open Wednesday-Sunday). It’s a nice place to walk around, read a book, eat organic food from the cafe. It’s also not far from another park with a grotto of caves. We loved being close to nature and out of the main drag.

Lovely staff (Moises, the owners' son who runs the desk was wonderful). Having just travelled down from the Gran Hotel in CDMX, I can say that the beds here were more comfortable than the GH. And they were very comfortable. The whole place is classy and has been designed with care and attention. The new slow food/local ingredients kitchen, with Alphonso Robles, open Thursday to Saturday is a winner. Even if you're not staying there, you should go for this.
