Wholw complex is well organized, with reception and paid sauna, but very affordable, with perfect view and swimming in the river bath! (book in advance, very popular!) Grocery is 5-10min walk away. Very spacious, clean, full kitchen and beautiful view. Staff was very responsive and accommodating. I really wish we had more time to stay as the room just felt like home and comfortable.. The road to Roldal was closed due to bad weather the original day we were going to stay, so had to change the dates last minute which was given smoothly without penalty. They also held our room the next day in case there was bad weather which was forecasted, but we ended up not staying which was nice to have a backup plan without committing to paying for another night. I kind of was hoping to get snowed in just to have an excuse to stay another night!
