From the very first moment I made my booking, I was impressed by the quick and thoughtful response from Shardul. He guided us all the way from Kathmandu, offering several travel options to reach Bardia. We chose to fly, and he kindly arranged our flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj at a very reasonable price. When we landed, he was already there to welcome us with a warm smile and had arranged a comfortable jeep for our drive to the homestay. Meeting him in person was a pleasure — calm, friendly, and incredibly professional. After a scenic drive of about one and a half hours, we arrived at Bardia Eco Friendly Homestay, and our first impression was beyond expectations. The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with spacious, spotless rooms and a stunning garden that looks magical under the evening lights. We were warmly welcomed with flowers by Shardul’s wonderful parents, Basu and Sarita. Basu, a teacher, shared interesting stories about Bardia National Park, while Sarita — an exceptional cook — served us some of the best home-cooked food we had in Nepal. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel truly at home. Shardul also organized a walking safari for us, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. With his deep knowledge of the jungle and its wildlife, he guided us safely and confidently through the forest. We were incredibly lucky to spot three tigers and eight rhinos — a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We also spent one night in their treehouse, surrounded by nature — peaceful, adventurous, and unforgettable. Our stay at Bardia Eco Friendly Homestay was simply exceptional — filled with warmth, comfort, and genuine care. This is not just a place to stay; it’s a home where guests are treated like family. Our recent stay at Wild Planet Eco Retreat was simply unforgettable. The place itself is amazing – surrounded by pure wilderness and full of peace. What truly made the experience special were the guides. They are not only full of knowledge but also genuine nature lovers who deeply respect and protect the wild. The garden is lovely and the rooms look great. We were in the jungle with the owner, Papu, for many days. He is a very skilled guide with excellent English, who doesn't only have a lot of knowledge of the animals and plants, but also cares about safety and the wellbeing of the animals we observed. We were very lucky to even see two tigers on different days with him. I really appreciated his knowledge of birds too. Very happy to have had you as our guide Papu!

Mukti and his family were really welcoming and provided us with all information and delicious food. The room was nice and we especially enjoyed the warm blankets at cold night temperatures in January. Mukti and his family are very caring and they are always ready to help. In addition, Mukti offers various kind of safari options in Bardiya National Park which we very much enjoyed. All in all it was an amazing experience and a great decision to stay here.

A beautiful property and lovely guest house very close to the bardiya national park entrance. The Cabins are big and cozy, each one quite far from the other so you get a lot of privacy and all around there are only trees and grass. It feels like really living in nature and not in a resort. The common dinning area is very nice, facing a beautiful river, and the food is good. Krishna and his wife are great hosts and they offer a lot of options to experience the park. Overall, a really amazing value-for-money place in bardiya

Bardia Riverside View Park Resort - FR and EN speaking dispone de jardín, terraza, restaurante y bar en Bhurkīā. Este alojamiento, que cuenta con servicio de conserjería, también ofrece barbacoa. The place is very tranquil and about a 5-10 minute bike ride to the market. They have a bike available for rent which did come in very handy. The room was comfortable and clean and WiFi worked very well. The staff is wonderful and very helpful with finding out bus schedules, planning a safari tour and offering guidance for the area.

We felt like home I highly recommend to stay in Sunset View Lodge. It is run by a young couple, they are very friendly, nice and helpful. The jungle guides have a lot of experience and knowledge. The bungalow rooms are really beautiful and made with a lot of attention to detail. Besides, the food is really really good, fresh and all local. We felt like home and we were sad to say goodbye to this little family. See you hopefully very soon!

We have visited Bardia National Park 4 times. There are a lot of lodges and resorts, and they all offer pretty much the same things. But Bardia Wildlife Resort TRULY stood out. We stayed in a newly renovated room with air conditioning, good wifi, excellent meals. We took all our meals in the beautiful garden. We were surprised to see pizza and lasagna on the menu! And even more surprised when it really WAS pizza and lasagna! A welcome change from the usual Nepali food. The personal attention was incredible! Hira, the owner, took my wife into town to a fabric store where they made her two comfortable dresses for 1700 rupees, about 14 USD. I work in health care, and they arranged a visit to a local clinic, as well as the usual jeep and walking trips into the park.

Hukum, the owner and guide, worked so hard to make sure I had a good time. His wife provides the meals, which were excellent and organic (many of the items are from his own garden). He helped me plan an itinerary for my time there. His prices were reasonable for the excursions. I saw a tiger and elephant in the wild as well as many other species of birds and animals. Although it's significantly more expensive than the other day trips, I would recommend the rafting. It was peaceful and a unique way to see Bardiya.
