Everything was lovely and the views from the unit were amazing. Our bedroom was great with a comfortable king bed and great shower/bathroom. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very friendly without being intrusive. We were the only guest so had the common area to ourselves as well and enjoyed the excellent included continental breakfast. Highly recommend The Salty Bushman for your stay in The Catlins.

Walked in and instantly breathed a sigh of relief at being there. The kitchen was wonderfully fitted out, the addition of staple food items was great - if we’d decided to cook, or had been there longer.

Seascape Accommodation has 2 modern apartments, all fitted with quality furnishings, free WiFi, a Smart TV and views across the ocean to the Nugget Point Lighthouse. I absolutely loved everything about this place, it was definitely one of my favourites in all of NZ! The owner is so kind and responsive, always quick to help with anything we needed. The place is spotlessly clean and tidy, and it's full of lovely little touches that immediately make you feel right at home. Everything is really well organised and well thought out, you can tell they've put so much care into every detail. And the view from the porch right in front of the sea is just incredible! I could have sat there for hours just watching the waves. Kaka Point is such a lovely, safe little community, we felt so welcomed by everyone we met, and the Caitlins in general are absolutely wonderful to explore. Close to the place there's a really good pub as well, and the building made of wood and driftwood was such a treat, a real pleasure to see and perfectly fits the coastal vibe. I honestly can't recommend this place enough and I'm already hoping we can come back soon! If you're looking for somewhere special to stay in this area, this is definitely it.

Offering luxury, self-contained accommodation in the small sea-side town of Kaka Point, this property is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, living in their natural habitat, including Fur Seals,... Amazing view of the ocean and the surfers. The heated beds were helpful to make sleep very cozy.
