The bed is really comfortable and there are the best pillows ever. You have a smart tv with netflix, disney plus and everything you want. I loved the make up table from the bathroom. Not to mention the private pool. As a bonus, the place is really close to the airport. Less than 10 minutes walk. It was one of the best places I stayed in.

He helped with every aspect, even collecting us from the airport in his own car because I had a foot injury and couldn’t get around easily. Breakfast was good, there was aircon on request and free bottled water.

The family operating this hotel is some of the kindest people we met and they will help you with anything you need :) Their property is huge and they show you around and explain to you everything you need and want to know! I was sick for 2 days, and they even made me a special herbal tea from an Amazonian plant that helped me a lot. Even the food - amazing!! All the meals are delicious, freshly prepared, and made with a lot of local and seasonal plants from their 14-hectare land. On our walk, we even went to pick fruits with them, which we could try 5 minutes later! This was truly an amazing experience, and this hotel alone was worth the commute to Iquitos.

I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries, all rooms at Posada Cumpanama have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms also feature a patio. The rooms have a wardrobe. Seems to be a very nice hotel. Pool area looked very cozy. Staff doing their best. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to experience it.
