PIA Homestay is an absolute gem and was for us the perfect place to start our Cao Bang motorbike adventure. It’s a charming, family-owned place with incredibly kind and helpful hosts. Vuong, one of the owners, also speaks English. The hosts truly care about making your stay and mountain area exploration special. Their scooters and motorbikes are all in excellent condition (practically new!) which makes the riding extra enjoyable an safe. And they offer them for a fair price. They also provided us with high-quality rain and wind jackets – essential for the cooler, windier mountain area which is higher than Cao Bang city. For the area, we also received fantastic local tips and help planning the ideal Cao Bang loop, including the best routes and places to stay. Lastly, Vuong even helped arrange our transfer to the next destination, making everything smooth and stress-free for us. Highly recommend!

Su Homestay is a recently renovated guest house in Cao Bằng, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. The property features mountain and garden views. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We stayed at this homestay twice and honestly, both times were great. The room was super comfy, very clean, and the self-check-in was smooth and just made sense, no hassle at all. The location is in a good area, and for the price (much cheaper than what we found on booking websites). Communication was super fast and easy through WhatsApp, which made everything so convenient. They also offer a bunch of handy services like laundry and transportation. We asked if they could arrange a limousine van for two people to Hanoi, with pickup from the homestay, and they organized everything quickly. We specifically wanted to pay in cash instead of booking online, and they made that possible without any issue. All in all, a very comfortable and well-organized place to stay. We'd definitely recommend!

Her English is perfect, so easy to communicate with. She took so much time to help every guest to organise their itinerary and was full of tips. Dinner was delicious! A lot of vegetarian options too. The dorm was spacious and clean and the beds were warm and comfy. Curtains for privacy. The bathroom was also clean with a good hot shower. I rented a bike for 7 days to go from Cao Bang to Ha Giang and it was such good quality. Didn't have a single problem with it, and she was available all along via WhatsApp with tips on route choices, homestays along the way, activity recommendations and of course always checking in I was ok. This was my best experience hands down in all my 45 days in Vietnam.
