Amazing Homestay In Rice Fields With Mountain Views First and foremost, Tri was an amazing host. If possible, try and make your way down down to Homestay Cánh Đồng Vàng because, as beautiful as it is, it also gives you an amazing jumping-off point to experience the Bac Son Valley. Tri made sure that after we got in (after a quite long motorbike trip, so we definitely needed a break) we had a clean room to go and decompress to. Beyond that, the family was super welcoming and gracious. They asked us to have dinner with them, which was delicious, filling, and all in all quite the feast. After dinner we de-camped with Tri and talked more about what brought us to the area, which is a bit out of the way, but highly recommended to make it happen. I really enjoyed our conversation and, if I wasn't so exhausted, I would have loved to keep talking over tea. I wish I had more time to chat with Tri, but even still, it was an amazing experience and stay and I couldn't recommend this homestay enough to other travelers.

What an amazing experience! The place is located in a scenic valley with a stunning view to the mountains. The facilities are beautiful, modern and exceptionally clean with a hot shower and nice interior. The staff is going really going the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome and the food is sooo delicious! You can even get your own BBQ on your private terrace. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you are looking for a peaceful place, this is it!

May Retreat - Huu Lung está en Hữu Lũng y dispone de vistas a la montaña, bicicletas gratis, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante. El lodge ofrece wifi y parking privado, ambos gratis. May Retreat was perfect for our group of 4 couple, with 4 seperate bedrooms and an enclosed lounge/communal area up stairs (it was a little cold the night we stayed) we had a great night playing cards on the bean bags. This is truly a beautiful place to stay !

ANH TU Hotel se encuentra en Lạng Sơn. Hay terraza, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. En el hotel, cada habitación está equipada con escritorio. The hotel was great. Lovely room and great facilities but spoilt for me by the location near a bar or karaoke lounge that played thumping bass music until 2am. I found it difficult to get to asleep but others may not find this a problem. Even more disappointing as I had asked for a quiet room.Shame because the hotel is so good and staff are so friendly and helpful. I only stayed one night so maybe the music was just a one off?

Bac Son Homestay está en Bắc Sơn y dispone de vistas a la ciudad, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza, restaurante y zona de barbacoa. Really nice homestay. Very well organised and neat and tidy. My fan room was small but clean and comfortable . Shared bathroom. There are 4 clean bathrooms downstairs and a couple more upstairs. There always seemed to be someone cleaning or doing stuff which is a good sign of a well-run place. Nice common area where I had dinner along with 4 French guys on motos, a solo French traveller and a couple of Thai moto riders, plus some local friends of the owner. It was very friendly and social. There was a bit of happy water but nothing crazy, just a bit of fun and everyone went to bed pretty early. I'm a 70 year-old solo motorbike rider and I avoid the crazy backpacker places so this was perfect. Some fun and good times. The food was restaurant quality. As there were more than 12 of us the variety was excellent. Tofu in rich tomato sauce, green beans, another veg dish I forgot, roast duck, wild boar, stir-fry beef, pork belly in a green sauce(? but delicious) fruit. We had beers and then some happy water which was perfectly safe as the owner makes it himself on the premises (we had a little tour of his distillery room!). I might not return to the area but if I do I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
