Our three days at fishermen’s lodge were super special, we felt so welcome and included in their family. The food in the restaurant was really amazing, the host is a great cook, we loved especially her rice and curry and the grilled fish. The traditional breakfast was also really good! The room was really simple, but still very clean and the host was always ready to help us in any way. You just walk a few steps to the beautiful beach which is nearly empty! In the morning the host took us fishing one time, which was the most special and fun experience! Overall we really recommend coming here for an authentic and local experience with extraordinary people! Thank you for everything! We might come back one time :)

We had the best stay at Maritime Nest Cabanas ! I really recommend staying there if you want to be close to Tangalle and the beaches nearby AND staying in a super peaceful and incredibly beautiful environment, close to the lagoon. The cabanas are beautiful with a super nice terrace, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The pool and the common parts are beautiful too. All the staff members were lovely and very caring, answering our every needs, and helped us organising scooter rental and tours. + the breakfast is huuuuge & delicious, we also had one dinner at the restaurant, a big fresh fish, it was awesome. I obviously recommend 1000% !

The Lookout Lodge is simply amazing. It’s an oasis which has been developed with much love and care. The people running it are wonderful, the rooms are clean and stylish and the swimming pool is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk to the (empty) beach and a 10 min walk to the turtle rescue center. It only has four rooms so it’s quiet and private. You have a unique view of the lagoon with all kinds of animals, and peacocks that love to use the roof of the lodge!

Our time at this lovely guesthouse was an absolute gem of an experience! The host's sweet and kind nature made us feel right at home, and her cooking was nothing short of amazing. She also taught us how to make coconut roti! We also wanted to go to the beach in the evening and she lent us her bikes so we wouldn't have to walk. The ideal place to stay if you want a place super near to an amazing beach with a forest of coconuts!! The area is perfect for relaxing and enjoy the sea of Sri Lanka! The rooms were clean, very quiet with a Sri Lanka style decoration 🙂We loved it! We had also dinner in the garden area which was also beautiful and the food tasty!!!The breakfast too!!! But overall our best memory was Saman! The son of the family of the peacock place..We missed him already, amazing guy, friendly, polite and will help you in whatever you need! And if you are lucky an amazing night experience in the beach with the birth of small sea turtles is waiting for you there !!!

Perfect spot wish a wonderful location right in front of the beach and the lagune. Our room at the middle level in the main building had a great view and a cool breeze. There were kayaks (sit-on-top) to use in the lagune for free. At sunset you could see (a few hundred meters east) the tiny baby turtles being releasef from their nests and strugling to reach the sea. The staff were pleasent and very friendly.

I stayed at this villa for one night with my family, and we had such a wonderful experience. The location is perfect – just a minute’s walk to a beautiful, quiet beach where we could relax and enjoy the view. The villa itself is very peaceful and private, making it a great place to rest. The swimming pool is big and very well maintained, perfect for both kids and adults to enjoy. We really appreciated how calm and relaxing the atmosphere was – it felt like our own little getaway. Another great thing about this villa is the convenience. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, serving fresh seafood and delicious local food, so we had many choices for our meals without needing to travel far. Overall, we loved our short stay here. It’s a great place for families or couples looking for a quiet and relaxing beach holiday. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer next time.
