Very friendly and accommodation and staff, plus a room dedicated to display Chinese culture - where one can learn calligraphy and guqin (a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument).

The room was immaculate, the bedding extremely comfortable. The toiletries were top of the range. And the breakfasts... absolutely delicious! Located 2 minutes from the center, this hotel is ideal for a relaxing stay in Shaxi. The host, Lynn, was lovely and always helpful to this French tourist who doesn't speak Chinese (me)! She also sells pottery featuring the local cat mascot: Wa Mao. If I wasn't backpacking for six months, I would have loved to buy some, they're so cute. Just go! ☀️

The hotel is exquisitely decorated with a distinctive Nanyang retro style. It boasts excellent scenery, featuring a dedicated viewing deck on the third floor where you can admire the Cangshan Mountain. There is also a "sky mirror" perfect for photography. The toiletries are well-stocked, and the bath amenities are from Penhaligon's. The breakfast is delicious, and the overall experience is highly recommended.

I love how cultural the design of this homestay is. It's very comfortable and homey. Most homestays in Lijiang Old Town are tucked away in alleys, but this one is only three minutes from the main road. The facilities are excellent, and the rooms are spacious. An iron is also provided upon request. Our room was actually only for three people, but we came as an unplanned foursome. However, the hotel allowed us to stay in the same room without any extra charges. We were even provided with bed covers, blankets, towels, and other additional amenities. We went there in early October, and the temperature was already quite cold. We didn't even need the air conditioning in our room; it was so cool. We were even provided with a water heater and a thermal blanket. Mai Lu Jiejie is very kind, she is really kind! She even recommended some halal restaurants for us to eat at, since we are muslims. She also recommended us a place to rent traditional costumes there which is quite cheap. If I go to Lijiang again, I will stay there again .

Lijiang Jinghua Inn está en Lijiang, a 6 min a pie de Calle Sifang, Ciudad vieja de Shuhe y a 1,2 km de Sifang Tingyin Square. The hotel is located near the south gate Lijiang old town, about a 15 min walk or short taxi ride. It is situated in a complex of garden style hotels. I include two pictures for a traveler to find it, one is the front door where you can see the pool, garden and coffee shop that does double-duty as reception. In the other picture, a huge red yunnan 云南 sign serves as a useful landmark on Ronghua Road. Ms Fang the manager was very kind and gracious -- she provided us a lot of useful information for hiring taxis and seeing the sights of the old town. The room was comfortable with a central island. Breakfast was simple chinese style with buns and congee. We were able to go to the nearby garden hotel on another day for a bowl of noodle soup. Overall, it was a economical and enjoyable stay. I could see how a family would enjoy of the larger rooms on the property.
