Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Puntarenas

The room was extremely spacious and comfortable with AC and had all the kitchen amenities needed. Great location just a 2 min walk from the supermarket and lots of cafe and restaurants nearby. Super friendly and helpful staff. Lots of wildlife to see in a beautiful setting, including the resident cat and dog.

This place was a perfect place to stop for the night. The staff were friendly and very helpful, offering directions and recommendations. Our kids loved the resident dog (Bobby) and cat (Welch) and played with them in the small courtyard. My daughter talked about Bobby the rest of the trip! Breakfast was fresh and delicious.

Rooms are clean. The balcony was lovely and whole apartment was spacious with excellent cooking facilities. Staff were great and friendly and gave us lights during an unexpected power cut. Also came with Max and Suzie the resident pet dog and cat who said hello in the mornings. Great location next to restaurants and supermarket and frequent 15min bus route to Manuel Antonio beach.

Beautiful location with amazing views. Rooms were spotless and the breakfast (3 options) was lovely. Staff were super helpful and even a cute dogs to pet. Highly recommend.

A little oasis, right next to the beach. Super easy to access with a code (which is very handy when you don't want to be taking any valuables to the beach with you), the villa has everything you might need and more. Luna, the resident dog, is the sweetest thing ever and would greet me every day. Loads of restaurants and cafes everywhere, as well as a supermarket. You are definitely paying for the location but it was so worth it!

The location of Cabinas Jiménez couldn’t be better - right on the beach and 2 minutes from the main street with a store, bakery etc. And the staff we so very friendly and helpful - they allowed us to arrive very early in the morning and store our bags, and also helped us with organising taxis. The resident dogs were also high on the kids likes too!

Rafael helped us a lot with our stay in Jimenez. We were there mostly for a three day tour of corcovado national park. He prepared breakfast for our early departure to the park. We were also allowed to leave our rental car on his property for a small fee. Note that Rafael has two lovely pets (cat and dog).

The warmest hosts, it feels like a friends house more than a hostel. Location is very good close to everything by walk. Breakfast was very tasty, gallo pinto with pancake and fruit and coffee. They help with booking tours in a good price, also helping with laundry and haircut. They have cute pets, 2 dogs and a pig and host with a family vibe, will come back one day.
