Hotel in an extraordinary environment, with a beautiful garden and outstanding view. Everything is well organized and clean. The food and wine are on a high quality level, very friendly staff. The hotel has its own guides for the hikes, everybody involved to the business (owner, staff, guides) did a great job. The people at this location are hard working and offer a quality which is beyond normal cabo verde standards. The owner Marisa is a good leader and her husband Mustafa did a lot for the environment, like a new ladder to access the caves. Special thanks to Carlos Fernandez, the guide and wine farmer, who brought me to Pico de Fogo and the caves and showed me around the island the next day. I can definitely recommend him as a very experienced guide.

TCHAN LOVe is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Portela, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The rooms include a balcony with views of the mountain. Superb place to stay in the village of Cha das Caldeiras. The guesthouse is relatively new and taken well care of. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Convenient location just at the beginning of the hike to Pico. There is a hotel bar and restaurant on site with reasonable prices for water and drinks (indeed the same price as in the shop across the street). Do yourself a favor and arrange the food at the restaurant before you arrive, as the food here is absolutely delicious! Also possible to buy a packed sandwich for the early morning hike to the Pico, and perhaps have the breakfast packed (actually not much difference as the breakfast is bread, cheese, boiled egg and some fruits). Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Everything. Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

There is a dining area and a kitchen equipped with a fridge. Additional in-room amenities include wine or champagne. We had the most wonderful stay with Adriano, Filomena and their whole family. They are some of the most warm, welcoming and kind people we have ever met! Their property is in an incredible spot in the caldera with views all around. From the airport pick up, to the amazing home cooked meals, to our guided hike, everything was just great. Highly highly recommend staying here!!

Boasting a terrace and views of sea, Cruzeiro Guest House is a recently renovated guest house situated in São Filipe, a few steps from Sao Filipe Beach. Located on the beachfront, this property has a bar and a shared lounge. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Spacious, clean room with a sea view, you can sleep listening to the waves. The staff was very friendly and helpful, good breakfast served at the roof. Super happy with this accommodation. :)

Also, the food at their hotel is DELICIOUS, the internet worked quite well, and the town of Cova Figuera is a very friendly place. I had a great experience and absolutely recommend this hotel as an excellent value!
