Found in an Edwardian building formerly home to the Anchor Line Shipping Company’s headquarters, this city centre aparthotel is inspired by a 1920s ocean liner. With original 1906 features, there are glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall-panelling, fireplaces and even the original safes.

With a 24-hour reception, Native Glasgow is located next to George Square. The hotel itself is stunning, a white building that seems to glow amongst its sandstone neighbours. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. I stayed in a deluxe one bedroom apartment which was spacious, beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Excellent amenities in the room including a washer/dryer for clothes, dishwasher, full kitchen, separate dining room and fantastic water pressure in the shower. I had a beautiful view as well, and the location was superb- walkable absolutely everywhere- 6 minutes to Glasgow Central train station, Queen Street Station is about 2 min around the corner and it's a 10 min walk to Buchannan Bus Station which is where most tours into the lochs and highlands depart from. Unbelievably convenient for dining as well, with the Anchor Line, the Atlantic, the Citizen and Wetherspoons on either side of the hotel and Gregg's- a Scottish institution- directly across the street for sausage rolls. Would absolutely stay here again, it was easily one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

Within a tree-lined Victorian terrace, this 5-star boutique hotel is located in the fashionable West End, only 30 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond. Its oak-panelled bistro serves fresh, Scottish cuisine and over 300 wines. We had a great stay -- the hotel is rather unique in that it's actually several townhouses that are connected and then redone as rooms. Our room was delightfully decorated fitting of the boutique hotel status, with a huge bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The hotel staff were communicative and helpful, both before our stay, messaging over booking.com, at reception, and while there. We were celebrating a special occasion, and had a nice surprise welcoming us in the room, which we appreciated. We also ordered room service from the restaurant (always a nice treat at hotels that offer it) and this hit the spot -- there was good variety, the food was high quality, and the ambiance and experience quickly made us feel at home. Lastly, it was our first time in Glasgow and as travelers without a car, we weren't quite sure where to stay. This spot worked out quite well -- the area is nice, and the university area (around Byres road), with more shops and cafes and such, is just a 10 minute walk, or a shorter bus ride. The bus stop is also right outside and very convenient, and that or the train provide quick transit access through the city. Overall, this worked out very well for us -- we had comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and great service. Would recommend to others.

The property features quiet street views and is 29 km from Mugdock Country Park and 29 km from Riverside Museum of Transport and Technology. The property is non-smoking and is situated 28 km from University of Glasgow. We met the lovely Annemarie shortly after arriving, she was so accommodating and friendly and left us lots of information for our short stay. The apartment was terrific, really warm and comfortable and located very close to a lot of amenities. We got a great night's sleep before we had to head on. Would definitely stay here again but for longer as Loch Lomond has a lot to offer. No hesitation recommending this to others, a great place to stay.

Located 29 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens, Skyline Lodge Loch Lomond Castle Lodges offers accommodation with a patio. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Originally, I was arriving earlier than expected and when I messaged the property they were super accommodating and confirmed an early check in. Unfortunately, things changed, and we arrived later than expected yet the property was again very accommodating to my arrival and checking in to the property was easy! I really appreciate the options and excellent communication with Wilma.
