Hotel Gringo Perdido está en El Remate, a 37 km de Parque Nacional Tikal, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, centro de fitness y jardín. Gringo Perdido is a little paradise. Surroundings, the staff and the place were incredible. The food that is included in the stay was my absolute favourite of our stay, incredibly delicious.

Sun Breeze Hotel está en El Remate, a 34 km de Parque Nacional Tikal, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. I loved everything about this place and wished I would have stayed for weeks! The room was big, clean, comfortable with an amazing view on the lake, especially at sunset and sunrise, when you can see a lot of birds (among which green parakeets, red-lored parrots, etc.). There were mosquito nets, but I didn’t see a single mosquito throughout my 3-night stay. The AC was quiet and worked perfectly, and the room had great Wi-Fi I used for a work video call. The room comes with a balcony, where you can find a table, chairs and hammock. There is also a kitchen you can use in common spaces. Umberto is an amazing host! He is very kind and helped me throughout my stay, even offering to lend me money when I had trouble withdrawing from the ATM, which I really appreciated in this stressful situation. He arranged my tours to Yaxha and Tikal, and the hotel’s location is very convenient, right where shuttle and colectivos stop and just in front of El Remate’s only ATM. It is a 5 min walk from the laundry shop, and within a 5 min walk from many great cafes and restaurants (Cahui, La Puerto, Casa de Don David, Doña Mari, etc.). I hesitated between staying in El Remate or Flores, but now that I have been to both, I am happy that I got to experience a quieter side of Lake Petén, with better sunset views and amazing restaurants, closer to Tikal and Yaxha archaeological sites. Highly recommended!

La Casa Colorada se encuentra en San Benito y dispone de zona de barbacoa. Este alojamiento, que cuenta con servicio de habitaciones, también cuenta con restaurante y terraza solárium. Super nice hosts, very helpful, great hospitality! Besides the hotel the hosts are working on a project for the benefit of the local community (including a French language school for kids, regular clean up activities, ...) - both have a very inspiring energy!:) The place itself is very nice and comfy, with a great rooftop terrace where a small, but very delicious breakfast is served at an extra cost.

Las Luciernagas Hotel tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, zona de playa privada y restaurante en Flores. La cegunda noche nos dejaron usar la bosina y cenar en la istacion q esta en el agua tipo barra muy amable la Chica q nos atendio,

El Hotel Mon Ami está situado frente al lago Peten, en El Remate, y cuenta con terraza. El establecimiento alberga un restaurante que sirve cocina guatemalteca y francesa. Ubicación fantástica frente al lago, lindo jardín y todo verde alrededor, mi cabañita me encantó, tenía lindos detalles, el restaurante también todo rico, el personal era encantador y muy amable, lo recomiendo para disfrutar de naturaleza y tranquilidad

Guest house Posada Ixchel se encuentra en El Remate, en un edificio de 2000 que está a 34 km de Parque Nacional Tikal. El alojamiento ofrece habitaciones con wifi gratis. The woman is very nice to wait for us even though we arrived very late at night, around 11PM. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets. Great location, nice and friendly staff, safe parking
