From the welcome to the place, to the explanation of the island, Kalil took the time to explain absolutely everything to us. The hotel room had memorable details, from a welcome card, to baskets with snorkel masks, beach towels, and pool towels. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was splendid. The entire Isla de Agua team was always helpful and welcomed us with a smile. I would return to this place. And

Tatasya homestay, a property with a garden, is situated in Senaru, 1.1 km from Sindang Gila Waterfall, 2.2 km from Tiu Kelep Waterfall, as well as 20 km from Umar Maya Waterfall. This guest house offers free private parking and full-day security. The accommodation features free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. I stayed at Tatasya Homestay in Senaru and they were incredible from start to finish. They helped me plan and execute my Mount Rinjani trek and made everything smooth and stress-free. They held my bags while I hiked, arranged a car ride to Kuta after my trek, and even welcomed me back with fresh coconuts. After the hike, they let me shower and rest in a room before heading out, which was such a blessing after three days in the mountains. The hospitality here is top-notch, super warm, helpful, and kind people. That alone makes this place worth staying at. One small downside was that they didn’t mention the hot springs wouldn’t be hot because the lake was too high during rainy season. Also, I did the 3-day/2-night trek, and while it was beautiful, it was pretty brutal. On the second day, you summit at sunrise, hike down to the lake, then up the other side of the crater, it’s a really tough push. I’m not sure the extra day is worth it unless you’re super set on seeing the lake. If you're looking for value and a challenging but more manageable hike, the 2-day/1-night trek might be the better choice. Overall though, I 100% recommend Tatasya Homestay if you're heading to Rinjani. They took such good care of me, and I’m grateful for everything they did.

Quite genuinely, never have we met such beautiful hosts and had such delicious food. The owners are the most hospitable, kind and funny people. The room was stunning. Incredible facilities. Featuring river views, Aulia Bungalows provides accommodation with terrace, around 16 km from Tetebatu Monkey Forest. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, full-day security and free WiFi. Very cozy bungalow with a small patio that overlooks the fields and green nature. Perfect to relax a little. Bed was comfortable, bathroom very big. Hot water, although it was a little hard to control (but still better than most I had, where only cold water is available). Breakfast and other food you order is brought to you to the bungalow. Easy communication via whatsapp.

Featuring a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The accommodation features room service, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. Bed was comfy. Pools were nice to enjoy. The “Boyfriend”( huge ceiling fan) outside was so nice. Super close to the sunset side of the island. Shower was great and provided organic toiletries. WiFi was great.

Situated within 8.3 km of Tiu Kelep Waterfall and 9.4 km of Sindang Gila Waterfall in Senaru, Bayan Exotic Homestay provides accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The homestay features mountain views, an outdoor fireplace and a 24-hour front desk. The most authentic accommodation we had on our 5 month travel through south east asia so far. Nip and Awan just opened in April 2024 and have two very nice bungalows/huts surrounded by nature, which were just build in December 2023. So everything is new and looks amazing. We stayed in the wooden hut which was so nice because the walls let air in the room and so it was always a comfortable temperature, even without an AC. The room is also equipped with a mosquito net but that was generally not a big problem. But the best thing about this accommodation is definitely the lovely hosting family, who made us feel very welcome right from the start. They organized the Rinjani Trekking for us for a very good price and know a lot about the area there, as Nip used to be a guide at Mt. Rinjani. They also provide breakfast and dinner, as there is no restaurant nearby. So I would recommend you to have a scooter there to explore the environment around the homestay (e.g. the waterfalls in Senaru). It's worth getting up early and admiring the sunrise from the terrace. We are very happy to have stayed at this place and have got to know this lovely people there. We‘ll come back!!

Very clean, quiet, and relaxing stay. Staff was very nice and I loved my stay here. The rooms are spacious and it is so close to the beach. AC worked well enough and the Wifi was consistent (as long as the island had power).

Situated just 500 metres from Gili Air Beach, Lasai Villas provides accommodation in Gili Air with access to an infinity pool, an open-air bath, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The property has pool and garden views, and is 6.5 km from Bangsal Harbour. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. New, spacious, beautiful villas just a 3 minute walk from the beach. We originally had booked another hotel on Gili Air, but after one night decided to change due to noise from construction and rusty water filling the bath. Ari and his team welcomed us and had our villa ready within 30 minutes of booking. When staying on remote islands with limited infrastructure, I have found you typically have to temper expectations just a little, but this was not the case at Lasai. We were in villa 1, an absolutely beautiful room with cold AC, sparkling pool, soft and comfortable mattress, and plenty of hot water for a nice relaxing bath. The photos on the website don’t do it justice! Very well insulated so you can’t hear the Muslim prayers at 0400, and light blocking shades ensured a restful sleep. Daily breakfast was served in the villa and a filtered water cooler made our stay extra comfortable, and the mini bar had great wine and other soft drinks. No request was too much trouble and they always replied quickly via WhatsApp. Another review mentioned the ‘delicate’ robes. I wore the robe daily, it was SO comfy and soft, and very well made. This place will forever be our go-to on Gili Air!
