The owners are incredibly kind and love their dogs (and puppies!) - dog lovers will feel right at home here. There’s no AC, but the cool nights made it perfectly comfortable. The Wi-Fi runs on Starlink, so the connection was strong. And the food… absolutely amazing - probably the best we had in all of Sumba! Don’t miss their famous lobster soup!

The accommodation was amazing, we even got to sleep under the full moon on the rooftop for two nights. The sky was stunning, and the view in the early morning was breathtaking. Breakfast was made with love, using fresh fruits and other ingredients from the garden, absolutely delicious! After breakfast, Bram, the owner's nephew, showed us around the garden and all the beautiful things it has to offer. In the evenings, we gathered around the fire with Bram, who shared our stay with us. He showed us around part of the island, taking us to wonderful places, each more beautiful than the last. We even had the chance to enjoy a night with live singers at an open café-restaurant. We laughed a lot and shared so many great moments together. This place is a true haven of peace, run by passionate and kind people. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for everything, Bram ! And thank you for your lyrics too ! ;)

Lydia was a brilliant host, nothing was too much trouble, she, organised motorbikes for us as well as a car and driver for our trip back to the airport via a lovely beach club, also horse riding, advice on what to do and see, and she even spent time teaching my husband to cook some local dishes. Her children were absolutely delightful. The new swimming pool was great and will be amazing once the decking is finished. The rooms were extremely comfortable. If you really want to avoid the tourist crowds and spend some time in an incredible unspoilt location then this will be perfect for you. We would highly recommend getting round on the mopeds as it is the best way to see the absolutely stunning scenery (but be careful of potholes and slippery mud if it rains). Surrounded by beautiful views and nature, everything was clean, well-kept, and enhanced by the locally made soaps and products that smelled incredible.
