The hotel is very nice. You have everything to have your stay comfortable. Room was clean, warm, had hot water. Maybe some things need renovation, but it not disturb you at all. Breakfast was good, but dinner was amazing. The staff were great and very helpful. You felt welcome in the hotel. They were able to help with any issues and also gave good tips about Petra. The roof top is cute, and had amazing view on the city at night. Location is amazing, just about 10 minutes from the Petra main entrance. If I come again, I would choose the same hotel again.

What I loved the most is the family running this business: they are lovely people. They had us having dinner with them, gave us a lovely time and even drove our car back up as the road was steep and wet. Moreover, the location is unique!!

This is literally the house of waleed’s grandfather in the old village of Dana, which he renovated as a small hotel. The generosity and hospitality and warmth of the family is what makes it so special — I stayed only one night but left with so many wonderful memories. I speak some Arabic, so my particular experience may have been extra special—but I feel like anyone with a heart will feel at home. My day in Dana was honestly the highlight of my time in Jordan—not as flashy as Petra or wadi rum, but absolutely stunning and full of genuine and wonderful people. It is rustic — so if you really need a modern style hotel, this is not your place. But it was cozy and comfortable and warm and wonderful; what more could I hope for?

Good location next to a supermarket and places to eat and a reasonably easy walk to front gates of Petra. Highly recommended.
