This was a lovely apartment with all the amenities and a strong life saving AC that helped us survive the Naoshima heat. The location is great, conveniently located just outside the city bus stop and opposite one of the best (if not THE best) Okonomiyaki places we’ve ever been in Japan.

We were picked up at the ferry dock and driven to the property. Mostly communicated through Booking messages. Great restaurants -- and sights to see -- were recommended and booked for us. Lovely sea view and nice terrace. AND we were given a lift to the next accommodation on the island. Incredible hospitality!

The room is larger than we’d come to expect in Japan. The location is really ideal for people wanting to explore Noashima and the surrounding art islands. We thought about staying at Benesse and after hearing other comments, this felt a lot more bespoke and us. It’s close to lots of eateries, the port, the bath house and bicycle rentals- so convenient. It feels very recently updated so nice little touches everywhere. The sauna was a huge bonus. I didn’t realise we would receive fresh water and towels every day. This was a nice touch.

The rooms are older/outdated (stained carpets etc) but the location is fantastic. The dinner and breakfast were FANTASTIC.

The owner and her cats and dog were delightful. The location was very close to the art houses around Honmura.

Location was excellent! In the center of the Honmeura Art Houses, and a 5-minute walk from the bus to Myenoura Port. Friendly hostess was on site most of the day, with a cuddly little dog, 2 cats, and a tiny kitten! (Only the dog, a tiny terrier of some type, came into the house, The cats were outside or in another house just a few steps away.)
