Absolute best vibes! The staff (and resident dog, Jiro) are so chill and friendly. Very friendly and homely atmosphere in an excellent location! Take a walk down the street towards the station, past the bridge: there's an alley with hundreds of lanterns in it. The guy who owns the first shop on the corner (next to the lady who sells 1000¥ kimonos- yes, really: they're legit, just might have the tiniest bit of damage) is awesome and will do you a great meal. Also, try the miso soup the hostel owner makes for brekkie! It's amazing

Pet allowed " but " only " for dog"not for cat.☹️ So if you have cat you are not belong here they considered the word "Pet" is for dog only not for cat .

Good location, friendly staff, dog friendly, big room.

A short 10 minutes walking distance from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, but the road surface is not very smooth for pushing big luggage. We didn’t aware that this is a pet-friendly hotel when we make reservation, met cute doggies when we check in. Overall the room is quite spacious, well maintained and clean.

Location was good and facilities were clean. Served it’s purpose well. Happy hour free drinks for 1 hour was a great bonus. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Appeared to be a pet friendly hotel as we saw a few people check in with their dogs. Bus stop across the road from the hotel with Aeon mall about a 5 minute drive and Kyoto city centre in the other direction also a 5 min drive. So many little bars and cafes down the alleyways which were hidden gems.

The room was a good size and location of the hotel very convenient. They hotel offers happy hour which is very generous and the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. As an animal lover I loved that this was a dog friendly hotel too.

Great location in the middle of Gion. There is a bus stop 2 minutes and a metro station 10 minutes walk from the property. The room was very comfortable and the host served us tea in the evening, brought it up to our rooms. The laundry facilities are also very convenient. The biggest star of this Inn however is the resident cat. He's very friendly and doesn't mind the pets from random strangers.

The check in was uncomplicated. The staff speak English. We booked a room for four people, but there were only two of us. A double room was no longer available at that time. The room was therefore very large. There was a private sink in the room. The sanitary facilities were clean and located in the hallway. Right next to the hostel is a really pet-friendly cat cafe and in the same street a supermarket. The furnishings throughout the hostel were as good as new.

We appreciate the genuine warmth and friendliness of the ryokan hosts and their efforts to communicate with us and make us feel welcome. They went out of their way to entertain us by making their pets (two labradors) available to us whenever we were in the lobby area, as they quickly noticed our love for dogs. Our hosts always greeted us with smiles and cheerful greetings whenever we would arrive from a day out or were on our way out for the day.

The hotel had super clean facilities. the bed was really comfortable. having a washing machine was really convenient. the bath tub had option to auto fill . Location is short walk from JR Kyoto station . staff we’re always available to help when I message them. most importantly, they have dog friendly rooms so I wad able to enjoy kyoto with my dog! They even give you all dog supplies you need. Thank you
