Located in a couple of hundred meters from the start of the trail to Adam's Peak, the climb took only about 2 hours 15 minutes. Happy with everything - definitely would recommend it. Avocado City Guest Nuwaraeliya ligt in Nuwara Eliya, op 4,2 km van Hakgala Botanical Garden. De accommodatie is rookvrij en is gelegen op 3 km van Lake Gregory. Het is een fijn hotel met een kamer die alles heeft wat je nodig hebt, het heeft een klein balkonnetje bij een avocadoboom en vanaf daar kun je de lovers leap waterval kunt zien. Het was bij ons best koud, dus het was fijn dat de kamer niet al te groot was en er was een dikke deken en warm water om te douchen. De eigenaar is heel enthousiast en vriendelijk. Soms was het lastig om elkaar meteen te begrijpen in het Engels, maar we kwamen er telkens goed uit. Hij gaf hele goede aanbevelingen voor restaurants en we hebben een leuke tour met hem gedaan naar twee theeplantages en een hele mooie waterval. Daarnaast bracht hij (tegen kleine prijzen) ons overal naartoe met zijn tuktuk.

Sailors cabin bevindt zich in Nuwara Eliya en biedt accommodatie met gratis privéparkeren. Elke unit heeft een eigen badkamer en een douche, airconditioning, een flatscreen-tv en een koelkast. De service van zowel de eigenaar als zijn moeder waren prima! Ze zijn beide bereid om veel te doen om het verblijf aangenaam te maken.

I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Barnes cottage biedt accommodatie in Nuwara Eliya, op 3,8 km van Lake Gregory en 11 km van Hakgala Botanical Garden. This place was so cosy, it has a fireplace in the bedroom and it was so nice to have it lit at night. There’s also a living living area where I was able to work from (although the internet worked well only for the first day, I was able to hotspot from my phone). There’s a tv you can access YouTube on. Really nice shower with hot water. Cool location at the top of a misty hill, although we did have our own transport which helped. Lovely helpful owners.

The caretakers were polite and took very good care of us. It is very comfortable whether you travel with a large group of friends or families. They also had a TV/reading room in addition to 4 bed rooms. The drawing/dining space can accomodate nearly 12 to 15 adults at a time.
