Location could not be more central in Sibu. The daily night market is literally at your doorstep. Rooms are spacious and all amenities are available. Beds are comfortable and wifi is strong. One does not meet many staff as there is no reception. On arrival, call the owner (phone number is provided above the main entrance, which is locked). Within a few minutes the owner arrives and explains how to open and close the main gate. For the rest, you are on your own. Excellent value for money, we would come again.

Ubicación buena justo en donde inicia la zona céntrica. Hay que caminar aprox. 20 minutos para llegar al puente principal pero siempre por una calle con muchos negocios, bares y comida. Si no quieres caminar, un taxi sale MUY barato. Se trata de una casa antigua con muchas habitaciones. Esta limpio, el wifi funciona decentemente bien, el AC funciona bien. Hay espacios comunes buenos para hacer sociales. Heladera para guardar tus cosas si necesitas. En general fue una experiencia muy buena. Los dueños son amables.

Set across the road from The Spring Shopping Mall, Citadines Uplands Kuching offers contemporary accommodation in Kuching. It boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. We had a studio on the 10th floor which had great views across the city. Our apartment was stylish, quiet, pristine and spacious with an open plan lounge/kitchen area, a well equipped bathroom (super shower) and airy bedroom with excellent air con.The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Complimentary coffee was served in the lobby area…….Darrel and Alexander were great hosts! The hotel is opposite “The Spring” shopping mall and close to a variety of restaurants and cafes. We were there during Oktoberfest so the area outside “Spring” was buzzing and welcoming in the evenings, with live music and beer on tap! The cost of a “Grab” taxi (like an Uber) was around R8 (around £1.50 at time of writing) to the waterfront. There is a swimming pool and gym but we didn’t use them although the pool looked very inviting. We had originally planned to stay for 2 nights but extended it to 5 as the place worked for us.
