From the moment I arrived, Sophie and Stefan were welcoming, warm, and happy to help with whatever might be needed. Bed was comfortable, everything spotless, breakfast was great and family dinners were delicious (and fun!)

Located in São Roque do Pico in the Pico island region, Casavó provides accommodation with access to a solarium. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge. The apartment features family rooms. In twenty plus years with booking.com this was the best apartment we have stayed in. All of the minor annoyances we usually encounter were not there. The ensuite had a fair sized cubicle with a good shower and a basket for toiletries, there was a lot of storage space, flat surfaces near the hand basin for your toiletries, hooks on the wall and even a proper plug which worked. The sofa provided comfortable seating for both of us as did the table and four chairs. There was a wardrobe with sufficient shelves and hanging space for two people with proper wooden coat hangers not the usual pin and socket type loved by hotels. The kitchenette is extremely well equipped with oven, induction hob, full size fridge and microwave so as to enable full self catering. There are even four bins - three dedicated to recycling. The apartment is well soundproofed both internally and externally (with the windows closed obviously). Wifi reception is excellent. This is also access to a laundry containing both washing machine and a dryer as well as the usual drying racks. Finally due to self check in we did not meet the owner but he was in constant communication with us and quickly responded to any message.

Calma do Mar features a garden, tennis court, barbecue facilities and shared lounge in Madalena. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the bed and breakfast free of charge. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Owners were super friendly and their house was very cosy with a nice garden and terrace. Just around the corner from the beach, where you could watch the sunset. Room was nicer than I expected from the pictures (the bunk bed was wider than it looks in the pictures and very comfortable). Breakfast was great with a lot of local foods. Very clean and equipped with everything I needed. And great price too. My biggest recommendation!

Pico Dreams offers spacious, self-catering villas with a balcony or terrace with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Pico Mountain. Guests can relax on the lounger or enjoy a dip in the swimming pool. The hosts (Gonçalo, Noemia, and of course little Matilda) Their hospitality was amazing, they treated us like family and helped us with everything we needed. The property was extremely clean, cleaners were in the house every day, maintaining the cleanliness of the property. We stayed in the main house which has shared kitchen, there was storage in the cupboards and fridge/freezer so we could buy things to cook for breakfast/lunch and dinner. The pool area was lovely, with facilities to wash your own clothes too free of charge!

Situated in Piedade in the Pico island region, Adega do capitao has a garden. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Amazing brand new place, designed with care and attention to detail at a peaceful location near natural pools and hiking routes. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, giving us tips for multiple activities around the island and making sure we have everything we need during our stay. Highly recommended, really great value for the price. We'd love to come back and stay longer.

A microwave, a fridge and stovetop are also available, as well as a kettle. At the apartment complex, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The location was excellent. Great views from the balcony across the bay. Lovely apartment which was well equipped. Our washing dried super quick outside with the help of the Azorian breeze! Christina was lovely and she lent us her binoculars too. Car parking space next to the apartment.
