Fantastic staff again, great cocktails and really good food. Cool music. The room was perfect for us, plenty of space. Great ammenities. Would 100% recommend and will come back there next time I'm on the island !

An easy walk through the town and to the waterfront. The meals were excellent. For breakfast you can have the buffet or order cooked items from a menu, or both. The dinner menu is outstanding with a wide range of options for fish, meat, and vegetarian, and everything we had was delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small balcony with a view overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable, and the firm pillows we requested were perfect.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Everything was very good. The place is close to the harbour and many good restaurants. We loved to go to the bakery for our morning tea. A modern - clean room with a little balcony. Great host who was easy to communicate with. The only drawback for a person who is mold sensitive like myself was the humidity smell in the downstairs bedroom. Something that seems to be pretty ubiquitous on an island with so much water everywhere.
