The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. They had great recommendations for us to do that were beyond just touristy activities. They were also always available for communication via booking.com. The property location is a bit isolated but that is what made it even more special to enjoy the northern lights and the snow. Kitchen was well equipped for us to cook there the whole time.

The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Situated in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden, IceHotel features rooms entirely made out of sculptured ice from the neighbouring Torne River. Warm rooms are also offered. 氷でできた高台のような場所が敷地内にあり、周囲の照明も少なめなのでオーロラを全方位楽しめた。また、朝寒い中オーロラ観察から戻ると暖かいベリージュースに加え、サウナも用意してくださいました。

Surrounded by mountain nature, the family-owned Camp Ripan .is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre. We booked one of the chalets. It was very quiet and peaceful there. We loved the breakfast with a huge selection of healthy and fresh food. For the vegans out there - in Camp Ripan you will not starve! 😅
