Comfortabele, schone bungalowtjes met een ruime badkamer in een fantastische tuin, wakker worden met vogels en krekels, heerlijk om even uit de drukte te zijn. Een heerlijk vers ontbijt, met vers geperst vruchtensap. En ook savonds kun je een heerlijk eenvoudige maaltijd eten. Voor mij was dit echt een pareltje in de Jungle!

Sky Bungalows is gelegen in Ban Bang Bao, op 2 minuten lopen van Ao Ngamkho Beach en 9,1 km van Klong Chao Waterfall. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een tuin en een terras. We had such a great stay with Sky Bungalows! We had a lovely bungalow with a nice view. But our favourite thing was the staff, they went above and beyond to help us. I would like to shout out ‘sea games’ (nickname) who was one of the nicest people we have ever met. He helped us get to places if we was unable to, always made sure we had everything we needed, and we even went on a night out with him and had an unforgettable night, one of our favourite memories whilst travelling! So thank you so much, to all of the staff who were absolutely amazing!!

Suanthara kokut, een accommodatie met een tuin, is gelegen in Ko Kut, op 9,4 km van Klong Chao Waterfall. The inside was nicely decorated, clean and very cute. The bed was comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and generous. Since I couldn’t drive a motor bike she offered to drive me where I wanted to go each day and pick me up. She even took me places that she wanted to recommend to me or to take pictures of me there.

Expectations were exceeded in all areas. The staff was lovely and they are doing a great job to make your stay even more comfortable!! The concept of the resort aiming for self sustainability is awesome. (gardening, chicken/ducks, saving water, not using plastic bottles etc.) Also the western kitchen at bamboo restaurant is amazing. Fresh vegetables from the garden that have actual taste. Burgers have been awesome too, easily one of the best we have ever had. The bungalow is decorated as lovely as you would sleep at someone's house and not in a hotel. We felt at home during our stay!!!

Great value accommodation in the low season. Its basically a villa with 4 rooms and several open areas and terasses to relax outside.. I stayed for 5 days in the king size bed room with gallant wooden panels with a nice little bathroom. Everything was very clean and the bed very comfy. A Towel and water was provided and you can make your own tea. The place is very quiet and close to the khlong yai keh waterfall and ao khlong mat beach with a few minimarts and restaurants.But I rented a scooter for 250b from them which opened up the entire island. The owner was not there so we had to communicate through booking chat and telephone. But it was really easy and no problem at all. There was also a maid on site to help. Also the two adorable huskies who are living there provide some entertainment and are always up for a pet.

We originally booked just two nights because we were a bit unsure – mainly due to the limited number of reviews and the fact that it’s called a “hostel.” But we ended up extending our stay by another four nights and had a wonderful time! The few reviews are simply because the place only opened last year. The term “hostel” is actually a bit misleading – there are just three private single rooms (with shared bathrooms), so it’s much quieter and more private than you might expect. The host also plans to build a shared dorm on the other side of the building in the future. One of the best things is the price – it’s very affordable compared to most other places on Koh Kood. Despite the low cost, everything was always clean, especially the bathroom. The host was super friendly and always responded quickly to messages. There’s a fridge and a small kitchenette with dishes downstairs in the shared area. Each room has a shelf for your stuff and a fan, and the doors are fitted with extra insect screens. (If you’re sensitive to bugs, you might want to bring a mosquito net – there’s room to hang one over the bed.) We had one of the two rooms upstairs and loved the terrace – it was perfect for hanging our hammock and gym rings, and we had plenty of space to dry clothes. Every evening, a few tokay geckos would show up, which – as you might know – are considered good luck in Thailand! The location is also great – relatively quiet, with a few restaurants, small shops, a laundry, and a pharmacy all nearby. Ao Taphao Beach is just 1.5 km away, and the whole island is easy to explore by scooter, which you can rent directly from the host at a fair price. In short: this is a budget-friendly place that delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re looking for more luxury, you’ll probably need to spend a bit more. But for what it is, we thought it was great – and we really don’t understand the negative reviews!

We had an amazing time here! The cozy little house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's just a few minutes' walk to the stunning beach, where we spent hours.. The area around the house is so serene and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Definitely a little hidden gem and a place we highly recommend if you're looking for a unique stay on Koh Kood.
