The resort is very well maintained and really nicely laid out. It’s very green with an own herb garden and an animal farm, fish ponds and many pools. The beach is clean and there were always enough sun beds for everyone. We really appreciated the kids club which is free of charge unless there are special activities like t-shirt dying, our 4yo daughter loved it and went every day. There’s also a kids pool with slides and shallow water. The breakfast buffet is really rich and offers enough variety for everyone to find something they like. We didn’t have any other food in the restaurants as we wanted to eat local dishes, but there are plenty of restaurants on the beach to choose from. The only time we ate at the resort was at the bistro by the kids pool and it wasn’t really good, plus you need to expect it’s quite costly. If you like Thai food, just eat elsewhere. Other then that we were really happy with everything (except for check-in) and would gladly come again of traveling with kids. Special shout out to Night - a waiter from Essence who took care of us during our private cooking school experience. He was an absolute delight and deserves a bonus!

Amazing villas within walking distance to the beach! (But you can also get a ride there or cycle). We loved everything about this place. Lovely breakfast, good restaurant/bar at the beach, massages all close by.

Fantastic pool villa ligt in Phang Nga, en biedt accommodatie met airconditioning, een balkon en gratis WiFi. Deze villa heeft een privézwembad, een tuin en gratis privéparkeren. Same like Paul from Vietnam said: Absolutely amazing - we had such a great time. To me it is perfect for a couple or up to 4 persons. Outdoors is a cozy living area with a large sofa as well. Communication was quick and helpful, in English or Thai. Nicholas is a great and down to earth guy. He can give you great expertise and tipps. There are 3-4 motorbikes which you can easily rent from him (250 Bath a day - standard cheap island prices). Go for it and explore the quiet island, it is amazing there. You will find peace, tranquility and friendly people everywhere. Do yourself a favour, maybe pay a little extra compared to a hotel, but go for Islands like this and accomodation like this. You won´t regret it. Thanks from Germany/Australia. We would love to come back.

We booked two nights and ended up staying much longer — that’s how special Big Hug Home is. Pom has created a true paradise filled with love, creativity, and care. The open, airy rooms are peaceful and comfortable, surrounded by nature’s sounds, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof. Pom is one of the most inspiring people we’ve ever met — kind, artistic, and full of warmth. Her home-cooked meals were amazing (we even tasted her home-grown seaweed!), and her family made us feel right at home. Tucked away near the river, it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, yet easy to get around by scooter or local taxi. Kayaking through the mangroves was a highlight. Thank you, Pom, for everything — we’ll never forget our time here. 🌸
