Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Iowa

I was more disappointed in Booking.com for not offering discounts. I have AAA and that was not mentioned. The motel had a sing saying that it was not a pet friendly place. No pets allowed. The manager was there fielding my questions and she had her dog with her. It wasnot a service dog. I did not encourage the dog but it was riding on the luggage cart that she was pushing, it jumped off and came directly over to me and jumped up on me. I would think that the people who make these signs would also follow them. Or else you allow pets.

Pet friendly, but proof of vaccination is required; Okay breakfast, helpful staff. Quiet, comfortable, and clean. Located at the southwest end of the small city of Atlantic; restaurants are mostly on the eastern side. If coming from the west, follow Route 6 from the Omaha area for a quiet, scenic, stress free drive.

Pet friendly, Excellent restaurant on site, Excellent staff. Quiet, clean & convenient to highway. Located along the Missouri River, it is next to a large riverfront park that includes a nice walkway and access to a marina and two museums. Definitely more of a destination than a stopover on a road trip.

I never got a chance to stay there. We arrived at 11:00 pm tired from driving all day. It was my daughter and I alone with her cat. The desk person refused to let us stay because they did not allow cats, even though the booking.com said they were pet friendly and did not specify that cats were not allowed. He said only dogs were allowed. I was very upset and was forced to find someplace else. I paid more money for a dump of a motel just so we could get some sleep. I am very discouraged with the site now and am Leary about using you again.

It is the location we use to come back to Iowa to see family. They are also pet friendly.

Wasn’t happy with the service, was told pet friendly and after driving 14+ hrs would not allow my dogs to stay in the room, said they had changed their policy, and would not honour it
