Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Free State

This is a beautifully maintained old house with a history. The rooms were all comfortable, and despite being midwinter, they were cosy and comfortable. There was a big garden, which was perfect for the children and it was pet friendly, which was a bonus. I love the location too, although the town centre has become a tourist trap, there are easy and accessible walks in the mountains close to the house.

We liked it as it was pet friendly and our dog could run around.

The design and outlay was really nice. The fact that the property was pet friendly was the determining factor for us. Provided excellent safety for our dogs. The Stoke house is near fantastic walks.

The location was excellent - safe, generally quiet, very good access to main routes, while being off on a smaller side road so that you aren't on the busy road. Friendly hosts. Very relaxed. Pretty, quaint, comfortable verandah for meals with little garden. Pet friendly. Lots of off-street parking. The staff did our washing (for a small fee). The hostess found out extra information for me on local points of interest.

The property was pet friendly. The dogs could play in the garden safely. Modern well designed holiday home, very comfortable and the view is exceptional.

We were really impressed by the generous size of the rooms and how accommodating Acacia Lodge was. We travelled with our 2 children and 2 dogs - this is the best pet friendly accommodation we have ever stayed at in.
