The rooms were clean and spacious, nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. The spa area was relaxing. The reception area was also really cool. We ended up sitting there and playing games. Breakfast was awesome. The gym had enough equipment to enjoy a good workout. I liked the dimmed lighting. The coffee in the room was absolutely delicious.

Edith and Silvia are lovely hosts, very hospitable, making you feel like at home. One get a family feel once you walk through the door. We could leave our bags already in the morning, before the check-in, and could also store them after the check-out, during the day of our departure. We got breakfast when we arrived in the morning even though it wasn't included in our stay, this was super nice! Breakfast is great. The buffet provides a variety of options. Freshly boiled eggs are also served! Best location in Bad Gastein, just opposite the cable car and the train station. Super convenient.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this mountain hotel! Located in a stunning natural setting, the place offers a spectacular view of the alpine landscape – the kind of scenery that takes your breath away every morning. The room was a true oasis of relaxation. The fireplace adds a warm, cozy atmosphere, perfect for chilly evenings, and the in-room bathtub is pure indulgence – ideal after a day spent outdoors. The services were impeccable from start to finish. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help without being intrusive. I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. We came here for our anniversary and loved every minute. Our room was on the top floor (5th) and overlooked the beautiful valley. The staff were super efficient and spoke good English. The room itself was spotless, especially the bathroom. The pool was sparkling clean without smelling of chlorine. Simple breakfast that included scrambled eggs, along with fresh bread rolls, jam, cereals, yogurt, cold meats and a selection of cheeses. The waiters also topped up supplies once they were finished. The building has a lot of charm and is well maintained. We will definitely be back in the future!

Hotel is located very close to ski lift (6-7 minutes by foot or just 2 minutes by local village bus which goes every 15 minutes), they provide rich breakfast with real Italian coffee, sauna and infrared cabin is included in accommodation rate which gives full relaxation after skiing. Modern and stylish design of the rooms and hotel in light colours with bright accents let to feel energised and powerful. Helpful and charming personnel ready to assist with every quest requests. Highly recommended to visit and feel Austrian hospitality.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The position is perfect, surrounded by beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings. The services were excellent, with friendly staff always ready to help. I loved the food, the swimming pool, and the relaxing sauna. The squirrel in the garden added a special touch to the experience. Overall, everything was well taken care of, and it was exactly the kind of place I like.

Good location, 10 minute walk to the ski lift, nice place to store ski equipment during the night, parking available on site, nice room and bathroom. There are a few good places eat out in the nearby. Walking the dog in the area is fun way to discover Dorfgastein and please remember to pick up the litter after your pet. There is a coffee machine near the reception and you can pay with card.

We enjoyed our stay at springhouse.

We enjoyed our stay at springhouse. It has a very good location for skiing and the Felsenbaden is also close. For four people it’s not huge good size and overall it’s very cozy with nice ski decorations. The house-owner is super nice and willing. We recommend this place.

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

I loved Bad Gastein’s mix of Belle Époque elegance and wild mountain scenery. Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

We visited the thermal pool, the minimum stay is 4 hours, which is probably little bit too long, but the water was nice and warm, outdoor pool with a mountain view. Shops available. Petrol station available. Skilift right at the center. Very friendly and helpul people (a special thanks to a lady at a petrol station who helped us to find a car mechanic on saturday afternoon to fix our car to be able to drive back home)

Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

It’s nice little town.

It’s nice little town. If you like skiing and bathing in one of spa areas, then you will enjoy. Not lot of restaurants and good ones are always reserved so you need to prebook if you want to have lunch or dinner. Not a lot to do with children, specially young ones that are not skiing yet.
